Professional MMA cages for clubs, gyms and fight events
An MMA cage is a structural purchase, not an accessory: it defines the footprint, the ceiling clearance and the circulation of the whole room it sits in. Light In Fitness supplies professional cages to clubs, commercial gyms and fight promoters, in floor level and podium configurations, and specifies each one against the room it is going into rather than against a catalogue page.
Two configurations, two different projects
Every cage decision starts with one question: does the structure sit flush with the training floor, or is it raised on a platform?
| Configuration | Typical use | What it changes |
|---|---|---|
| Floor level cage | Daily club training, academies, multi discipline gyms | Steps straight off the mat, no platform structure to build, lowest ceiling demand |
| Podium cage | Fight events, filmed competition, show venues | Raised deck with access stairs, spectator sightlines, higher total height in the room |
Both families are listed separately in our catalogue, as floor level MMA cages and podium MMA cages, because the civil works, the delivery and the installation are not comparable.
What professional construction actually means
Fighters demand the most of their equipment, which is why the cages we select are the most robust and reliable on the market. They are built from high quality materials, reinforced steel and welded mesh, so that safety holds under contact and under repeated impact against the fence.
All our cages are designed to meet the highest safety and quality requirements. We work with established manufacturers to keep the products at the leading edge of the sector, with the strength, the durability and the finish a commercial installation needs to survive daily use over years rather than seasons.
Specifying a cage for your room
Every client has different needs, which is why the selection is done as a service rather than as an order form. The variables that decide the specification are the free floor area, the usable ceiling height above the cage, the access route for delivery and assembly, whether spectators are expected, and the budget envelope.
Around the cage itself, the surface matters as much as the structure: the surrounding training area is normally finished with tatami mats so that ground work and breakfalls outside the cage are covered by the same project.
Frequently asked questions
Floor level or podium for a club that also hosts events?
A floor level cage serves daily training better because members step directly onto it from the mat. A podium is justified when the venue sells tickets or films the bouts, because it fixes spectator sightlines. Clubs that do both usually keep the training cage at floor level and hire or build a podium for event dates.
Are the cages suitable for commercial and not just private use?
Yes. The range is selected for club, gym and event use, where the structure is loaded every day by successive groups, which is a different service life requirement from occasional use.
What is supplied with the cage?
That depends on the configuration chosen and on what already exists in the room, which is exactly what the specification conversation establishes before a quotation is issued.
Can you help choose between two references?
That is the point of the service. We give expert advice so that the decision is made on the room, the discipline and the budget, not on a photograph.
