Description
The TRAINER vertical and horizontal massager combines two HDPE roller banks on one 135 x 80 x 160 cm frame, weighing 60 kg and certified to EN 16630:2015-06. Users lean against the vertical rollers to work the muscles alongside the spine, then use the horizontal bank across the lower back and hips. It is a recovery station rather than a strength one, and in a public fitness circuit it does a job nothing else does: it gives visitors a reason to stay after the effort instead of walking away cold.

Two roller orientations, two purposes
The vertical bank runs parallel to the spine and is used standing with the back pressed against it, rolling up and down through the erector spinae. The horizontal bank sits across the frame and is used with a side to side movement, reaching the lower back, the iliac crest and the gluteal insertions. Having both on a single unit means a visitor can cover the whole posterior chain without moving to another station, which is why this model is specified in preference to a single roller version on busier sites.
- Vertical rollers for the muscles along the spine
- Horizontal rollers for the lower back, hips and glutes
- HDPE rollers, warm to the touch and unaffected by rain or frost
- No moving mechanism beyond the roller bearings
- Intuitive to use without instruction or supervision
Where to place it in a circuit
Recovery stations work best at the end of a route or beside a rest area, not in the middle of a high intensity sequence. Placing the massager near a bench, a water point or the exit of a fitness trail increases actual use considerably compared with dropping it between two strength stations. Reserve the 435 x 380 cm safety area with continuous surfacing, and check the free height of fall stated on the installation drawing.
Construction follows the TRAINER standard: steel shot blasted and hot dip galvanised, then coated with two layers of UV stable polyester. HDPE rollers do not need painting or oiling and will not splinter. The only wear items are the roller bearings, which should be checked during routine inspections and are inexpensive to hold in stock.
Frequently asked questions
Is it a genuine massage device?
It is a self applied myofascial rolling station, comparable to a foam roller fixed to a frame. It relieves muscular tension and is used before and after exercise; it is not a medical device and makes no therapeutic claim.
Who can use it?
Visitors from 140 cm in height and up to 150 kg. The difficulty rating is moderate because the user controls their own body position against the rollers, and no strength or coordination threshold is required.
Does it need maintenance in winter?
Very little. Galvanised steel and HDPE both tolerate frost and rain without treatment. The routine visual check for damage and the annual main inspection are the same as for the rest of the circuit.
