Description
The 6 by 6 m Podium MMA cage is the club standard of the podium range: octagonal, raised on a podium, and large enough for full contact training and competition without demanding the floor area of the 7 by 7 m version. It is built for mixed martial arts and for other martial arts practised in a closed cage, and it is customised to order in the colours and finishes of the venue. The list price is 7,950 EUR excluding VAT.
Production and delivery run to a 90 day lead time, since each cage is manufactured to the customer specification. Light In Fitness also supplies the surrounding equipment a combat sports room needs: punchbags, grappling dummies, mats, and gloves for trade buyers.

Choosing a cage size for a club room
Cage size is usually decided by the room rather than by the sport. A 6 by 6 m octagon needs its own footprint plus a working perimeter for coaches, officials and the podium steps, and in most converted industrial units that perimeter is what runs out first, not the cage itself. Measure the clear span between columns before choosing between this and the 7 by 7 m.
The second constraint is height. A podium raises the fighting surface, so the clear ceiling height above the mat is reduced by the podium build-up. Rooms with services running below the slab need this checked at survey rather than on delivery day. The access route also matters, since podium sections and fence panels have to reach the room through the existing doors.
Where the 6 by 6 m earns its place is in clubs that train daily and host occasional events. It gives a credible competition surface for a gala or a filmed card, while leaving enough of the room free for bag work, mat work and conditioning on ordinary evenings. Light In Fitness has equipped clubs and specialist venues from Tours since 2013 and carries out the layout study before quoting.
Frequently asked questions
How much total floor area should we allow?
The cage occupies 6 by 6 m, to which you add the podium steps and a working perimeter for coaches and officials. The layout study establishes the total area against the survey of your room.
Can the cage be branded for our club or a sponsor?
Yes. Colours and finishes are specified when the order is placed, and branding on the padding and the podium skirt is quoted as part of the customisation. This is one reason for the 90 day production lead time.
What else is needed to complete the room?
Tatami mats for the warm up and grappling area, punchbags, grappling dummies and rubber gym flooring tiles are all quoted alongside the cage. Wholesale supply of gloves is available to trade buyers. Quotations are returned within 24 working hours.
