Description
The 5 by 5 m Podium MMA cage is the training focused size of the podium range, octagonal and raised on a podium, for clubs whose room will not take a competition sized octagon. It is designed for mixed martial arts and other martial arts practised in a closed cage, and it is customised to order in the colours of the venue. The list price is 6,950 EUR excluding VAT.
Manufacturing and delivery run to a 90 day lead time, because each cage is produced to the customer specification. Light In Fitness also supplies the surrounding equipment: punchbags, grappling dummies, mats, and gloves for trade buyers.

Sizing down without losing the training value
A smaller octagon is not a compromised octagon. Most club training happens in close quarters, on clinch work, ground transitions and cage work against the fence, and none of that needs a competition footprint. What a 5 by 5 m cage buys is a room that still functions: space for bag work, mat work and conditioning around the structure rather than a cage that fills the unit wall to wall.
It also lowers two secondary costs that buyers often overlook. A smaller podium means fewer sections to route through existing doors and corridors, and it reduces the floor area that has to carry the combined load of the podium, the mats and the athletes. On an upper floor or a converted building, both matter.
Where this size does not fit is a venue planning to host regulated competition. If a club expects to run galas or filmed events, the 6 by 6 m or 7 by 7 m formats give the working perimeter that officials and camera positions require. Light In Fitness carries out the layout study before the quotation so the decision is made on measured dimensions.
Frequently asked questions
Is a 5 by 5 m cage large enough for regular club training?
Yes, for sparring, clinch and ground work in a coached session. For regulated competition, the larger formats in the range provide the working perimeter needed around the fighting surface.
Can the cage be finished in our club colours?
Yes. Colours and finishes are specified at the time of order, which is part of the reason for the 90 day production lead time. Branding on the padding and the podium skirt is quoted with the customisation.
What are the podium and fence heights?
These depend on the configuration ordered and are confirmed with the site layout study, along with the mat build-up, the access steps and the delivery route. Quotations are returned within 24 working hours.
