With 230 litres and a 480 mm depth, the CR1048B is the large-volume chest of the range: the one that swallows a whole session worth of equipment in a single unit.

One chest for the bulky items

Dumbbells, kettlebells, weight plates, medicine balls, protective gear, folded mats and high-volume accessories go into the same locked unit. In a gym, a cross-training box, a studio, a club or an outdoor fitness area, the CR1048B centralises small equipment and puts it under lock and key between two sessions, instead of spreading it over three smaller boxes. Also known as a site chest, it is equally at home in a workshop or a plant room.

Pressed sheet steel and reinforced hardware

The body is built from pressed sheet steel and finished in RAL 7021 grey. Two carrying handles are fitted on tamper-proof plates, the reinforced hinges stop at a 95 degree opening angle, and the hasp accepts a padlock (30 mm padlock available as an option) to secure the contents. The sliding tray adds a genuinely useful upper level: stopwatches, timers, markers, keys and small accessories stay within reach without digging through 230 litres.

Why is the load capacity the same as on the smaller models?

The 50 kg figure is the load the chest is rated to carry, not the volume it can hold. On 230 litres it is reached quickly with cast iron: fill the chest by weight, not to the brim.

Does it fit through a standard doorway?

At 1000 x 480 x 480 mm it passes through any standard door leaf. Plan the route in advance if the store room is reached by a narrow corridor or a turn on a landing.

Can several chests be stacked?

An intermediate stacking tray is available in the accessories range for that purpose. Stack only chests of the same footprint and keep the upper unit within reach for daily handling.

Which castors should be ordered with it?

The 125 mm swivel castor set is compatible with the CR1000 and CR1048 chests, with or without tray. It turns the unit into a rolling store that one person can move alone.
