Description
The Lexco LU7 is a self-powered professional recumbent bike with a hybrid generator brake and 30 resistance levels. It takes users up to 181 kg, weighs 65.5 kg and measures 104 x 61.5 x 149 cm, so it needs no power socket and can be sited anywhere on the floor. Professional price: 2,610 EUR excluding VAT.
Self-powered, so siting is free
The generator brake produces the electricity the console needs, which removes the single biggest constraint in cardio zone planning: the position of the power outlets. On a refurbishment this often saves the cost of running new circuits, and it means the layout can be revised later without electrical work.
- Hybrid generator brake, self-powered, 30 levels of resistance regulation
- Maximum user weight 181 kg
- Recumbent seat with back support, easy step-through access
- USB port for charging high-capacity devices
- Cup holder and reading stand, contact heart-rate grips
- Alphanumeric LED display in English
Console and training programmes
The display reports time, distance, calories, speed, revolutions per minute, watts, METs, heart rate and an end-of-session summary. Twelve programmes are available: manual, three warm-up profiles, autopilot, interval, five alpine profiles, heart-rate control, fitness test and three user-defined profiles. Watts and METs matter for facilities that prescribe training loads rather than durations, which is typically the case in rehabilitation, cardiac follow-up and structured physical preparation.
Where the recumbent format is the right choice
The recumbent position supports the lower back and removes the need to hold body weight on the handlebars, which makes it the practical option for older users, deconditioned users, users returning from injury and anyone above the comfortable weight range of an upright bike. Step-through access with no leg swing over a saddle is often the deciding factor in hotel gyms, medical facilities and residential fitness rooms.

Frequently asked questions
Does the LU7 need to be plugged in?
No. The bike generates the power its console requires while pedalling, so no mains socket is needed at the machine position. The USB port for charging devices is fed by the same generator.
Who is the 181 kg user limit relevant for?
It covers a user population that many cardio machines exclude at around 140 to 150 kg. For public facilities, medical centres and hotels this is often a specification requirement rather than a nice-to-have, and the recumbent format makes that capacity usable in practice.
How much space should be allowed around the machine?
The bike occupies 104 x 61.5 cm. Allow 60 to 70 cm of clear access on the seat entry side and a similar margin at the rear for maintenance. At 65.5 kg it can be repositioned by two people without dismantling.
The Lexco LU7 is quoted at 2,610 EUR excluding VAT, before delivery and installation. For a complete cardio zone we can quote several units together with a maintenance contract and console options, usually within 24 to 72 hours. Other formats are shown under recumbent bikes.
