Description
The Lexco LR7 is a professional recumbent bike with a self powered generator brake, 30 resistance levels and a low step through frame. The semi reclined riding position spreads body weight across a backrest, which removes the saddle pressure and the forward lean that stop many members from using an upright bike for long sessions. That is why the recumbent is the workhorse of hotel gyms, corporate facilities, rehabilitation rooms and any club with an older or deconditioned membership.
Resistance is generated by a hybrid generator brake that powers the console itself, so the machine needs no mains connection and can be sited anywhere on the floor plan without running a socket to it. A USB port is provided for charging high capacity batteries, and the unit carries a cup holder and reading stand with contact heart rate sensors.

Where the LR7 fits in a cardio suite
The footprint of 174 x 64 cm is longer than an upright bike but narrower, so a row of recumbents lines up efficiently along a wall or a window with the consoles facing the same view. Allow generous clearance at the side of the seat rather than behind it, because the whole point of the low step through frame is that a user can walk in from the side without lifting a leg over a top tube. For a rehabilitation room, plan enough space beside the machine for a walking aid and for a practitioner to stand alongside during a supervised session.
The self powered brake removes the electrical constraint from the layout, which is a real planning benefit: cardio suites are usually the hardest area to service with sockets, and a self generating machine can be positioned by sight lines and circulation rather than by cable runs. At 87.5 kg the unit is heavy enough to stay put in use, and it is worth planning the delivery route through doorways and lifts before ordering several.
Frequently asked questions
Does it need to be plugged in?
No. The generator brake powers the console from the user’s own pedalling, so the machine works anywhere on the floor. The USB port is for charging a device, not for powering the bike.
Is it suitable for a rehabilitation setting?
Yes. The backrest, the low step through access and the 30 level resistance range make it appropriate for supervised reconditioning and cardiac rehabilitation programmes, with the training prescription remaining the responsibility of the practitioner.
Can you supply several units and a service contract?
Yes. For a full cardio suite we quote the number of stations, console options and a maintenance contract together. Quotations are issued within 24 working hours and shipping is 5 to 10 working days from stock.
