Description
The Lexco LS-201 is a professional Smith machine measuring 1,844 by 1,350 by 2,230 mm and weighing 188 kg, built on high tensile steel tube of 50 by 105 mm with a 3.0 mm wall. Stability is what makes a guided bar system useful, and mass is how stability is achieved: a light Smith frame flexes under load, which defeats the purpose of guiding the bar at all.
Add a bench and the machine covers a full training programme. Flat, incline and decline pressing, squats, lunges, shoulder press, rows and hip thrusts all run on the guided bar, which loads the legs, chest, glutes and back without a spotter. The high pulleys extend the range further, and the preacher pad allows isolated biceps work as well as adjustments to back and shoulder exercises. For a facility with one machine budget and a wide range of members, that breadth is the argument.
The counterbalanced guide system assists the bar through its travel and secures the lift. A rotating handle lets the user engage and disengage the bar at the start and end of a set without changing grip. Double locking positions and four plate storage posts with chromed weight bars keep the loading process quick and the discs off the floor.

Positioning a Smith machine
A Smith machine is the safest way to offer heavy compound lifting in a room without permanent supervision, which is why it appears in hotel gyms, corporate facilities and residential fitness rooms as well as in clubs. Two points govern the installation. First, a bench is required for pressing and should be specified with the machine rather than borrowed from elsewhere, since the bench height determines the usable bar positions. Second, plate logistics: four storage posts are provided and they should be used, because loose discs around a Smith frame are the most common hazard in a strength area. Allow clear access on both sides of the bar for loading and check the ceiling height above the top of the frame at 2,230 mm. We size the zone and the bench and plate specification from your floor plan free of charge before quoting.
Frequently asked questions
Is a bench included?
No. The machine is used with a bench for pressing exercises, and the bench is quoted separately so it matches the rest of your equipment. We can include it on the quotation.
Which muscle groups can be trained?
Legs, chest, glutes and back through the guided bar, plus isolated biceps work on the preacher pad and further movements from the high pulleys. Positions include flat, incline and decline with a bench.
Are olympic plates supplied?
No, plates are quoted separately. The four storage posts with chromed bars are supplied with the machine.
