Description

The Impulse RT500 is a commercial treadmill built around a 180 kg maximum user weight, a 1,524 by 559 mm running surface and a step-up height of only 21.6 cm. Those three figures explain why it is specified for facilities with a broad user base rather than for a performance-only gym: the wide belt gives room to a heavy or unsteady runner, and the low deck lets an older member or someone in rehabilitation step on without assistance.

Durability comes from the details buyers rarely see. The frame is painted in two coats over an anti-rust primer, and the deck is reversible, so it can be turned over to double the wearing life of the running surface rather than replaced. The belt itself is 2.5 mm thick, self-lubricating and rust resistant, which removes the periodic lubrication step that many treadmills need. The Pulflexx suspension absorbs impact under the runner and keeps operation quiet, an important consideration where the cardio zone sits above or beside occupied rooms.

The motor is a 220 to 240 V unit rated at 3 HP continuous with a 4.5 HP peak, and incline runs to 15 degrees, giving enough gradient for interval and hill training rather than only for walking programmes. A water bottle holder and two accessory trays for a phone, tablet or magazine are within reach from the running position, and transport wheels allow the machine to be moved for cleaning.

Fitting treadmills into a professional cardio zone

Treadmills set the constraints for the whole cardio area. Allow a clear run-off zone of at least two metres behind each machine, keep a walking aisle between rows, and check the electrical provision early, since a line of treadmills needs dedicated circuits rather than shared sockets. Ceiling height matters as well: a tall user on a machine inclined to 15 degrees gains considerable height. The low step-up of the RT500 makes it a sensible choice for hotels, corporate wellness rooms, senior residences and rehabilitation centres, where accessibility governs whether the equipment is used at all. Our team will size the cardio mix, spacing and power requirement from your floor plan free of charge before quoting.

Frequently asked questions

What does a reversible deck change in practice?

When the running surface shows wear, the deck is turned over and the machine runs on the unused face. That roughly doubles the interval before the deck is replaced, which is one of the main consumable costs on a commercial treadmill.

Does the belt need lubricating?

The belt is self-lubricating, so the routine lubrication step is removed. Normal cleaning and periodic belt tension and tracking checks still apply.

What electrical supply is required?

The motor runs on a 220 to 240 V supply. For a row of treadmills, plan dedicated circuits and confirm the load with your electrician at design stage; we can provide the figures for your project on request.
