Description

The Top Floor grey wood-effect rubber tile brings a warm wood-look surface to non-public training spaces at 42 EUR excluding VAT per m2: a 20 mm two-layer vinyl and SBR construction, 100 x 100 cm, laid loose edge-to-edge with no glue and no clips.

The affordable wood look for private spaces

Within the wood-effect family, the grey tile is the cool, contemporary tint — and the simplest to install. Where the clip-together oak tiles carry a Cfl-s1 rating for buildings open to the public, this Efl-rated tile targets spaces without that requirement: home gyms, private club rooms, company training rooms and internal-use facilities. For those projects it delivers the wood aesthetic at 7 EUR less per square metre, with a laying method anyone can manage: tiles simply butt edge to edge, held flat by their own 18 kg per square metre.

Two-layer construction: dense surface, absorbing base

The wear surface is a 0.5 mm high-density vinyl layer (1,600 kg/m3) printed with the grey wood grain and finished slip-resistant and waterproof — sweat and spilled drinks wipe off a sealed surface. Beneath it, a recycled SBR rubber base (960 kg/m3) provides the 20 mm of impact absorption and damps impact noise, a relevant point for training rooms on upper floors. Finishing edge ramps for thresholds and borders are available on request; the tile carries a 2-year warranty against manufacturing defects.

Check the fire rating before ordering

The tile is classified Efl under EN 13501-1, which is not sufficient for public-access buildings — commercial gyms open to the public typically require Cfl-s1 as a minimum. For those projects, choose the clip-together oak tiles from the same family instead.

Frequently asked questions

How does it differ from the clip-together oak tiles?

Three points: fire class (Efl here versus Cfl-s1), laying system (loose edge-to-edge versus invisible clips) and price (42 versus 49 EUR per m2). Same two-layer vinyl-on-SBR logic, different compliance target.

Is loose-lay stable under training?

Yes for normal use — at 18 kg per square metre the tiles do not creep under footwork, machines or controlled free-weight work. Perimeter zones and doorways can be finished with edge ramps for a clean transition.

What maintenance does the surface need?

A mop or vacuum with standard neutral cleaning — the vinyl surface is waterproof and non-porous, so no special products or sealing are required.
