Description
The 20 mm dark oak rubber gym tile pairs a high-definition wood-look wear surface with a professional shock-absorbing base: 100 x 100 cm format, Cfl-s1 fire rating for public buildings, glue-free interlocking clips and a 5-year warranty. Price: 49 EUR excluding VAT per m2.
A technical tile that does not look like one
The printed dark oak grain — lightly textured for slip resistance — gives coaching studios, hotel gyms and premium home gyms a private-club atmosphere that standard black tiles cannot deliver. Underneath, the construction is fully professional: a 0.5 mm high-density vinyl wear layer (1,600 kg/m3) over a recycled SBR rubber base (960 kg/m3) with a studded underside that ventilates the subfloor and improves impact-noise insulation.
Cfl-s1: specified for public-access buildings
The tile is fire-classified Cfl-s1 under EN 13501-1 — the rating that covers the vast majority of gyms, studios and hotel fitness rooms open to the public, with the stricter s1 smoke index. Always have your safety commission or inspection body validate the datasheet for your specific building category before ordering.
Clip-together installation, no adhesive
Invisible clips lock the tiles together without glue, on any sound subfloor. Joints are nearly seamless, the floor can be zoned by combining the dark oak with its light oak twin, and the whole installation is demountable — it moves with you. Each tile covers exactly 1 m2 and weighs 18 kg; finishing edge ramps are available on request.
What 20 mm is dimensioned for
The tile absorbs dumbbells and kettlebells set down on the floor, jumps and fast footwork — the daily life of a coaching or wellness space. It is not intended for repeated heavy barbell drops: for lifting platforms, specify 40 mm tiles under the drop zones and keep the oak finish elsewhere.

Frequently asked questions
How convincing is the wood finish in real use?
The grain is printed in high definition and lightly textured; visitors read it as parquet, not printed rubber. The clip system keeps joints nearly invisible, though a zero joint is impossible without gluing. The dark tint also hides sole marks better than the light oak version.
How do I clean it without damaging the print?
Plain water or a neutral detergent is all it needs — the surface is non-porous. Avoid aromatic solvents (white spirit, acetone) and concentrated bleach, which can degrade the printed finish over time. Check your professional cleaning products before first use.
Can dark and light oak be mixed in one room?
Yes — same thickness, same clips, same structure, so the junction is flush. A common studio layout zones stretching areas in light oak and coaching areas in dark oak with no floor markings needed.
