Description
The Gold Line T-bar row is a plate-loaded back machine built on a floor-standing base with a T connector, weighing 65 kg and rated for users up to 180 kg. It measures 85 x 80 x 120 cm, which makes it one of the smaller footprints capable of carrying genuinely heavy rowing loads. Light In Fitness supplies the Gold Line range to gyms, clubs and hotel fitness rooms across France from Tours.
What the machine trains
The T-bar row is the most economical way to add heavy horizontal pulling to a free-weight area. One frame, one Olympic sleeve and a set of plates cover the entire back, and because the load path is fixed the lifter can chase weight without the spinal loading of a bent-over barbell row.
- Latissimus dorsi and the full width of the mid back
- Trapezius and rhomboids through scapular retraction
- Posterior deltoid at the top of the pull
- Elbow flexors as the secondary pulling chain
- Multi-position handles for wide, neutral and close grip variations

Adjustment, biomechanics and floor planning
The pivoting footplate is the detail that separates this machine from a landmine attachment bolted to a corner. Because it adjusts for height and rotates, the user sets the angle of the torso rather than accepting whatever angle their leg length imposes, which changes where the pull lands between the lats and the upper back. The non-slip aluminium surface holds the foot under load, which is the failure point of painted steel footplates once they polish.
The chest support pad takes the weight of the torso out of the lower back, so the machine can be programmed for higher volume than a free bent-over row and can be used by members who should not be loading the spine at all. Adjustments are colour coded, which is what keeps an unsupervised floor set up correctly.
On plan, allow the 85 x 80 cm base plus a clear metre behind the machine for loading plates and stepping on and off. Storage posts are integrated, so the plates live on the machine rather than in a tree elsewhere on the floor. Frequently asked questions
Are Olympic plates included?
No. The machine is supplied with the loading sleeve and integrated storage posts; plates are quoted separately so you can match the diameter, finish and total tonnage to the rest of your free-weight area.
Can the frame colour be matched to our branding?
Yes. The structural colour is customisable at order stage, over the standard two-pass powder coating and lacquer. Send the RAL reference or your brand guidelines with the enquiry.
How does it compare with a landmine row?
A landmine attachment gives you the movement; this machine gives you the movement plus a chest support pad, an adjustable pivoting footplate, multi-position handles and plate storage on a dedicated 65 kg base. On an open-access floor the difference shows in setup time and in how many members can use it correctly without coaching.
Tell us the size of your free-weight area and the machines already installed, and we will return a layout plan with the T-bar row positioned and priced alongside the rest of the specification. Quotations are issued within 24 to 72 hours.
