Description
The Gold Line Converging Biceps is a plate-loaded arm curl machine with independent converging arms, built on 3 mm SPHC steel tube. It measures 198.5 x 119.5 x 113.5 cm, weighs 142 kg and accepts users up to 180 kg. Light In Fitness supplies it at 1,615 EUR excluding VAT.
Where the resistance goes when the arm bends
The difficulty with a straight curl bar is that resistance peaks in the middle of the range and falls away at both ends. A converging path changes that: as the elbow flexes, the hands travel inwards along the arc the forearm naturally follows, which keeps the load on the biceps at the top of the movement instead of handing it to the shoulder. Users notice this immediately as a longer working range and a harder final third.
- Independent converging arms, one plate load per side
- Olympic 50 mm plate posts on two loading levels
- Safety bar limiting the working range
- Quick-release seat adjustment, settings marked in yellow
Why plate-loaded arm stations survive longer
Arm machines take a particular kind of abuse: short sets, fast repetitions, frequent load changes, and users who drop the weight at the end of a set. A selectorised arm machine answers that with a cable and a pulley train, both of which are consumables. A plate-loaded design has neither. Over a ten-year equipment cycle the difference in service cost between the two approaches on this station is larger than the difference in purchase price.
Gold Line construction
Hot-rolled SPHC oval steel tube with a 3 mm wall, laser cut and robot welded, on non-slip rubber floor supports. Grips are extra-strength TPR-EVA, which keeps a secure hold with chalked or damp hands. The seat is a twin pneumatic cylinder reinforced construction, upholstered in 2 mm leather over high-density polyurethane foam and contoured to hold posture through the curl. The finish is a powder coating applied as two protective base coats plus a final top coat, in black or grey as standard, custom colours negotiable.

Frequently asked questions
Why is the machine nearly two metres long?
Because the arm support and the seat sit in line, with the plate posts behind. The width is only 119.5 cm, so the unit is narrow and deep, which suits a position along a wall rather than in the middle of a floor. Plan the layout accordingly.
Should it be bought together with the triceps machine?
Almost always. Arm training is done in pairs, and placing the converging biceps and converging triceps machines side by side means a member completes both without crossing the floor. They also share the same seat adjustment logic, which shortens induction.
How much plate weight does an arm station need?
Far less than a pressing or leg station. A set concentrated on 5 kg, 10 kg and 1.25 kg discs is more useful than heavy plates, because progression on a curl is made in small steps. We size the plate order across the machine group.
