Description
The Gold Line abdominal crunch is the heaviest station in the plate loaded range at 175 kg, on a 126 x 115 cm footprint and 168.8 cm tall. Maximum user weight is 180 kg. Price: 1,575 EUR excluding VAT.
Loaded trunk flexion instead of floor work
Body weight crunches stop producing adaptation once a member can complete high repetitions, and adding a plate on the chest is neither safe nor measurable. This station applies resistance through a guided pivot above the shoulders, so trunk flexion can be progressively overloaded in the same way as any other lift and the load can be written into a programme in kilogrammes.
The pivot keeps the movement in the sagittal plane and the abdominal wall works through its full range, from the upper rectus down to the deep stabilisers, without the hip flexor dominance typical of anchored sit ups.
Why the machine is heavier than the rest of the range
An abdominal station applies force high on the frame, well above the base. The 175 kg of steel is what keeps the unit planted when a heavy user pulls against a loaded arm, so no floor fixing is needed. The mass comes from the same hot rolled SPHC oval tube, 120 x 50 x 3 mm, used across the Gold Line, cut by laser and robot welded.
- Quick adjust seat height to set the pivot at the base of the sternum
- Safety support limiting the extent of the working area
- TPR-EVA grips and double cylinder reinforced pads, 2 mm leather over high density polyurethane foam
- Non slip rubber feet, no anchoring required
- Powder coat finish of around 300 microns in black or grey, custom colours on request

Frequently asked questions
Does the machine need to be bolted to the floor?
No. The 175 kg self weight and the non slip rubber feet are sufficient for normal commercial use. Anchoring is only considered on raised or floating floors, and we can advise on that when we see your floor build up.
Is it suitable for beginners?
Yes, provided the seat is set so the pivot sits level with the base of the sternum. Start with a single light disc: the plate loading means the progression can begin far below the entry weight of a selectorised abdominal machine.
How does it differ from a cable crunch?
There are no cables or pulleys to inspect or replace, the resistance is direct, and both the seat position and the load are repeatable from session to session. Maintenance is limited to checking fasteners and upholstery.
If you are specifying a full free weight and plate loaded area, send us the room plan and the number of stations required and we will return a written quotation, including delivery in France, installation and after sales support.
