Description

The Bodytone Nexion E80L is a connected cross trainer with a 56 cm stride, a 14.2 kg flywheel and a 170 kg user capacity, the highest in the Nexion cardio range. It is the LED console version of the flagship machine, with the same mechanical platform as the touchscreen model.

Stride length and flywheel mass decide how a cross trainer feels. A 56 cm stride gives a long, natural movement that suits taller users, where shorter strides force a shuffling action that members abandon within weeks. The 14.2 kg flywheel carries the movement through the dead points, so the action stays smooth instead of pulsing. Thirty two levels of electromagnetic resistance cover everything from a recovery session to interval work, and the Poly V belt drive keeps the machine quiet, which matters in hotels and residences more than anywhere else.

The dual action handlebars bring the upper body into the movement, so the machine trains the whole body in one action with almost no joint impact and with the user in a weight bearing position. Connectivity is by NFC and open FTMS, so the machine works with MyBodytone, Kinomap and Zwift rather than a single proprietary application.

Choosing between cardio families

The cross trainer is the only common cardio machine that combines upper and lower body work, near zero joint impact and a weight bearing position. A treadmill is weight bearing but high impact. A bike is low impact but seated and lower body only. A climber is weight bearing and lower body dominant. That combination is what makes the cross trainer the most widely accessible machine in a cardio area, and it is why it turns over so consistently.

Within the Nexion range the E80L gives the flagship mechanics without the touchscreen. Where budget or floor space is tighter the compact E60L takes over, and where a site wants streaming and remote management the E80T is the model. Allow lateral clearance for a user stepping off, and a power socket per position. A siting plan is issued with the quotation once we have your room drawing. We deliver to France, Belgium, Switzerland and Luxembourg, quote export per project, and dispatch within five to ten working days from stock.

Frequently asked questions

What does open FTMS connectivity mean in practice?

The machine speaks a standard fitness protocol rather than a proprietary one, so members use the application they already have rather than one the club has to license.

Is the LED console a limitation?

Only if the site wants streaming or remote fleet management. For training data the LED console reports what members read during a session, on the same mechanical platform as the touchscreen version.

Who is the 170 kg capacity for?

It is the highest in the Nexion cardio range and it exists so a site does not have to exclude anyone. Medical fitness, rehabilitation and general population clubs are the usual beneficiaries.
