Description
The BL-ACR6 Parallel Bars Module adds gymnastic bar work to a composed outdoor street workout cage. Built in hot-dip galvanised steel with a UV-stable polyester powder coat and a 20-year structural warranty, it carries dips, support walks, L-sits and handstand progressions in permanent outdoor exposure.
The gymnastic heart of a composed cage
Parallel bars are where calisthenics becomes gymnastics: support holds, bar walks, swing-throughs, L-sits and straight-arm work that a simple dip station cannot host. Within the BL modular system, the ACR6 pairs naturally with pull-up and wall-bar modules to give a cage its full movement vocabulary, strength, agility and endurance combined on one structure.
Layered corrosion protection
- Cold-formed, high-tensile steel tube with corrosion-resistant inner coating
- Hot-dip zinc galvanising plus chromate conversion coating
- Oven-baked Super Durable polyester powder coat with light-stable pigments
- 20-year warranty on the steel structure
Outdoor installation and compliance
In open-access settings (municipal fitness areas, parks, school grounds) this equipment falls under EN 16630 for outdoor fitness modules. Installation requires a peripheral safety zone of at least 1.50 m around the structure and impact-attenuating surfacing compliant with EN 1177, dimensioned to the free-fall height. On enclosed private sites, the same requirements remain best practice. Anchoring is by base plates set in concrete footings or fixing to an existing concrete slab.

Inspection and upkeep
A composed cage in public access should follow a simple inspection rhythm: a visual check of fixings, welds and surfacing at each maintenance round, and a documented annual review, standard practice for EN 16630 installations. The BL construction keeps this burden light: hot-dip galvanised tube does not rust through coating chips, the baked polyester coat resists UV chalking, and there are no moving parts or pads to replace on the parallel bars. Should a component ever be damaged, the modular system allows replacement of the affected element without dismantling the cage, and the 20-year structural warranty covers the frame itself.
Frequently asked questions
What surfacing is required beneath the module?
Impact-attenuating surfacing compliant with EN 1177, with thickness dimensioned to the free-fall height. Light In Fitness recommends bonded rubber safety tiles of 40 to 65 mm for the landing zone and can size them within your project quotation.
How is the module anchored?
Either sealed on base plates in concrete footings or bolted to an existing concrete slab. An installation study and anchoring plan are available on request.
Which users is it suitable for?
Street workout and cross-training practitioners of all levels: beginners use the bars for supported dips and holds, advanced athletes for L-sits, walks and gymnastic progressions.
