Description
These Work-fit jumping and balance blocks are a fitness trail station in laminated Scandinavian pine, class IV autoclave treated, with AISI 304 stainless steel fittings. They are used for jumping, hopping and single leg balance work, and are normally installed as one station in a sequence along a walking or running route.
The station is designed for outdoor sites where equipment has to sit quietly in a natural setting: park paths, woodland trails, campsites and the grounds of residential care facilities. Laminated pine treated to class IV is specified for direct exposure to weather and ground contact, and the AISI 304 stainless steel metal parts and fixings remove the corrosion problem at the joints, which is where painted steel trail equipment usually fails first.
Small splits may appear in laminated timber as it dries. They are a normal characteristic of the material and do not affect its strength. No special treatment is required for the disposal of the materials at end of life, which simplifies the waste stream for a public operator.

Building a fitness trail station by station
A fitness trail is bought as a sequence, not as a single item. Stations are spaced along an existing path so that walking or running between them is part of the session, and each station is chosen for a different movement: jumping here, upper body pulling further on, balance further still. Because the timber components are light, with the heaviest part at 4.90 kg, installation is straightforward and does not require lifting plant.
The safety area around each station is provided in accordance with EN 1176-1:2017. Spacing between stations and the exact position on the path are set out in the implantation study, which is issued with the quotation when you send a site plan.
Frequently asked questions
What maintenance does the timber need?
Routine inspection and cleaning, with the frequency increased under intensive use. The autoclave treatment protects the timber, and the stainless steel fittings need no treatment.
How long are spare parts available?
Ten years, which allows a municipality to keep a trail in service through more than one budget cycle.
Are overall dimensions available?
The published data covers the largest component, 1106 x 90 x 90 mm, and the heaviest at 4.90 kg. The overall footprint and the safety area for your layout are confirmed in the implantation study.
