Pickleball PVC court roll, 2 mm: complete 9 x 18 m court, EN 14904 compliant, indoor use
This flooring covers a complete 9 x 18 m pickleball court (162 sq m): the official IFP playing area of 6.10 x 13.41 m plus its run-off zones. It is delivered as five 1.80 m wide strips, joined on site by hot welding for a permanent installation or with single-sided tape for a demountable one. Once joined, the court is one continuous surface: no open seam, no change of level, and the same ball bounce from one end of the court to the other.
The surface is not solid PVC but a multilayer build: a protective anti-stain and anti-scratch layer, a quartz sand layer for grip and feel underfoot, a transparent wear layer, HD-printed colours and lines, fibreglass reinforcement, high-density foam and a diamond-pattern backing that keeps the court in place. Sports performance is compliant with the intended use defined by EN 14904:2006 + A1:2008 (indoor sports surfaces): shock absorption, vertical deformation, slip resistance and ball bounce measured with the associated test methods.
Fire classification Bfl-s1 (EN 13501-1:2018), SGS-CSTC test report no. GZMR260300962801 dated 10/04/2026, handed to the customer after the order. Court markings
The printed lines reproduce the official layout: a 13.41 x 6.10 m playing area (singles and doubles on the same court), service line, baseline, sidelines and the 2.13 m non-volley zone on each side of the net, all in 5 cm wide white. The net sits at the centre of the court, 91.4 cm high at the posts and 86.4 cm at the centre according to the rules of the game; the net on wheels offered with the court is positioned and removed without tools.
The technical data sheet describes the surface as designed for three requirements: performance (grip, footing and pace of play at world championship, international competition and official qualifying level), safety (lower risk of slipping and injury) and durability (intensive use by local authorities and clubs). Ball bounce measured at 97 % and controlled slip resistance give consistent play from one end of the court to the other; 26 % shock absorption is kind to the joints during long sessions.
Subfloor: the condition to check before ordering
The court must be installed on a clean, flat, hard and homogeneous surface. The subfloor must meet the flatness tolerances defined by French standard NF P90-110; as a guide, flatness defects must not exceed 6 mm under a 3 m straightedge. Any irregularity likely to affect the stability of the flooring or the quality of play must be corrected before installation.
Compatible subfloors: concrete slab, asphalt concrete, porous concrete (the one used on tennis courts is ideal), parquet, PVC floor, acrylic resin court.
Not recommended without a suitable structure first: soil, grass, artificial turf, unstabilised gravel, sand.

Installation, assembly and dismantling
Permanent installation: hot welding
The strips are hot-welded together and the court becomes a single piece. This is the solution for a permanent installation, but it also works for events, since the complete roll can be rolled up again in a few minutes. Allow 2 people and 4 courts per half day for the first welded installation, then about 10 minutes to roll or unroll each court for a 9 m wide roll. A dedicated handling trolley moves the complete roll without lifting its weight.
Demountable installation: single-sided tape
If the court is regularly installed and removed, single-sided tape is preferable: it holds the strips together while allowing them to be separated again for easy removal. In practice, cut about 1 m of single-sided tape and apply it underneath, between each strip. For an event set-up, allow 2 to 3 people, 1 hour to install and 45 minutes to dismantle.
Before first use
We recommend unrolling and laying out the rolls 24 hours before use: the flooring relaxes and recovers its flatness after transport.
Delivery and storage
The rolls are wrapped in recycled paper and delivered in a wooden transport crate. For off-season storage, keep them flat, in their crate: never stack rolls on top of each other and never store them upright; the resulting deformation is permanent.
Maintenance
- Clean regularly to remove dust, marks and other residues with a mop or a fringe broom.
- Use only soap and pH-neutral cleaning products in a weak solution.
- Play in clean indoor sports shoes.
Do not: use unsuitable or dirty shoes with black soles, which mark the floor; use acids (bleach, vinegar, toilet cleaners), alkalis (butyl cleaners, high-pH strippers) or petrochemical products (cleaners containing oil, grease, solvents or abrasives); place furniture on the playing surface; leave dirt or liquids on the surface.

Which installation context?
Pickleball club, multi-sport club or municipal sports hall: permanent court. EN 14904 is the European reference standard for indoor sports flooring: it covers mechanical performance, shock absorption and slip resistance, and it is the reference expected in equipment files and grant applications. Hot-welded strips give a single continuous surface with no open seam: on a pickleball court, a failed seam changes the bounce unpredictably and is immediately visible during inspections. Several courts can be ordered together for a multi-court complex, with volume pricing.
Hotel, campsite, leisure centre: demountable or seasonal court. With single-sided tape, the court is installed in 1 hour and dismantled in 45 minutes by 2 or 3 people. A court laid in April, removed in October to free the surface and laid again the following year: neither the flooring nor the subfloor suffers, provided the storage rules are followed (flat, in the wooden crate). Customisation, such as the venue’s colours or logo, is printed during manufacture rather than applied to the surface, so it does not wear off with cleaning.
Local authority, school, multi-sport space: intensive use. Estimated service life of 8 to 15 years, abrasion resistance measured at 150 mg (EN ISO 5470-1) and rolling load resistance at 0.48 mm (EN 1569), antibacterial activity ≥ 99.99 % (ISO 22196) and TVOC at 28 days below 100 µg/m³: the criteria usually required in public specifications are documented. CE marking under EN 14041:2004 and the declaration of performance are supplied with the file. Depending on the printed lines, the same surface can host pickleball, badminton or mini-tennis.
What to know before buying
1. Check the available space: 18 m long by 9 m wide. The official playing area of a pickleball court is 13.41 x 6.10 m. This format therefore leaves about 2.29 m of run-off behind each baseline and 1.45 m on each side. It is the most comfortable format in the range, but still below the 2.44 m safety zone recommended on each side of a court. If your hall is shorter, the 15 x 7.2 m format exists; if it is larger and you are aiming at competition, we produce custom sizes.
2. The flooring does not correct subfloor defects. A concrete floor with blisters, raised joints, oil marks or standing moisture creates lifting points and visible flatness defects under the flooring. The reference is NF P90-110 flatness, with defects not exceeding 6 mm under a 3 m straightedge. On a floor in poor condition, levelling or degreasing must be planned before installation.
3. It is an indoor sports surface. The product is designed and tested for indoor use within the meaning of EN 14904. Outdoor installation is possible, but we recommend it only as a temporary installation, for an event, a tournament or a seasonal activity, rolled up after use. For a permanent outdoor court, tell us about the project: the technical answer is different.
4. EN 14904 compliance is not a competition approval. EN 14904 covers the mechanical performance of the flooring. IFP or USAPA competition rules have their own surface specifications. If your project involves official competitions under federation rules, have the surface confirmed by your federation before ordering.

Frequently asked questions: 9 x 18 m pickleball PVC floor
Is the court delivered in one piece?
No: it is delivered as five strips, 1.80 m wide and 18 m long, joined on site. With hot welding, the strips become a single piece and the surface is continuous. With single-sided tape applied underneath between each strip, the whole is held together while remaining separable for removal. In both cases there is no open seam that could alter the bounce or catch a shoe.
Can it be installed outdoors?
The product is an indoor sports surface within the meaning of EN 14904. Outdoors, we recommend a temporary installation: tournament, activity, event, rolled up after use. For a permanent outdoor court exposed to UV, rain and freeze-thaw cycles, contact us: we will study the right solution rather than misuse this one.
How long does it take to install and remove the court?
For an event installation, allow 2 to 3 people, 1 hour to install and 45 minutes to dismantle. For a permanent hot-welded installation, 2 people are enough and 4 courts can be laid per half day; afterwards, rolling or unrolling a court takes about ten minutes. In all cases, unroll the rolls 24 hours before first use so the flooring recovers its flatness.
Do the court lines fade over time?
No. They are printed during manufacture (HD printing), then protected by the transparent wear layer and the anti-scratch protective layer. They are 5 cm wide, bright white, and pre-treated to resist wear and shoe friction. That is the difference from painted floor marking, which needs redoing every 2 to 3 years.
Which floors can it be laid on?
Concrete slab, asphalt concrete, porous concrete, parquet, PVC floor or acrylic resin, provided the subfloor is clean, flat, hard and homogeneous and meets the NF P90-110 flatness tolerances (defects not exceeding 6 mm under a 3 m straightedge). Soil, grass, artificial turf, unstabilised gravel and sand are not recommended without a suitable structure first.

How should the court be stored off season?
Flat, in the wooden transport crate delivered with the rolls. Never stack the rolls on top of each other and never store them upright: the deformation caused in both cases is irreversible and shows on the floor when the court is laid again.
Where is the non-volley zone and how high should the net be set?
The non-volley zone, or kitchen, extends 2.13 m on each side of the net; it is printed on the flooring with the other official lines, in 5 cm white. The net is set at 91.4 cm at the posts and 86.4 cm at the centre, in accordance with the rules of the game. The court hosts singles and doubles on the same layout.
