Description
A compact pickleball court, 7.2 x 15 m (108 sq m), in 2 mm PVC sports flooring. It is delivered as four 1.80 m wide strips, joined on site by hot welding for a permanent installation or with single sided tape for a demountable one. Once joined the court is one continuous surface: no open seam, no change of level, the same ball bounce from one end to the other. The playing area follows the official IFP dimensions, 6.10 x 13.41 m, and this format leaves about 0.79 m of run off behind each baseline and 0.55 m at the sides, less than the 2.44 m of run off recommended around a court.
The surface is not solid PVC but a multilayer build: protective anti stain and anti scratch layer, quartz sand layer for grip, transparent wear layer, HD printed colours and lines, fibreglass reinforcement, high density foam and a diamond pattern backing that holds the court in place. Sports performance complies with the intended use defined by EN 14904:2006 + A1:2008 for indoor sports surfaces. Fire classification Bfl-s1 (EN 13501-1:2018), test report available on request.

Subfloor
The court must be installed on a clean, flat, hard and homogeneous surface: concrete slab, asphalt concrete, porous concrete, timber floor, PVC floor or acrylic resin court. The subfloor must meet the flatness tolerances of standard NF P90-110; as a guide, unevenness must not exceed 6 mm under a 3 m straightedge. Earth, grass, artificial turf, loose gravel and sand are not suitable unless a proper structure is built first.
Installation, handling and storage
Permanent installation by hot welding: two people, four courts per half day for the first installation, then around ten minutes to roll or unroll a 7.2 m wide court. A dedicated trolley moves the complete roll without weight constraint. Demountable installation with single sided tape: cut about 1 m of tape and fix it underneath between each strip; for event use allow two to three people, one hour to install and 45 minutes to remove. Unroll the court 24 hours before first use so the covering relaxes and regains its flatness. Rolls are delivered in a wooden crate; store them flat inside that crate, never stacked on each other and never standing upright.
Maintenance
Clean regularly with a mop or fringe broom to remove dust and marks, using only pH neutral soap and cleaning liquids in a weak solution, and play in clean indoor sports shoes. Do not use shoes with black marking soles, acids (bleach, vinegar, toilet cleaners), alkalis (butyl cleaners, high pH strippers) or petrochemical products containing oil, grease, solvents or abrasives, do not place furniture on the playing surface and do not leave dirt or liquids on it.
Questions
Is the court delivered in one piece? No. It comes as four strips of 1.80 x 15 m, joined on site. Hot welded, they form a single block; taped underneath with single sided adhesive, they stay separable for removal. In both cases there is no open seam to alter the bounce or catch a shoe.
Can it be installed outdoors? It is an indoor sports surface under EN 14904. Outdoors we recommend temporary installation only, for a tournament or an event, with the court rolled up afterwards. For a permanent outdoor court, talk to us first.
Which documents do you supply for a public tender? The technical data sheet with test results, CE marking under EN 14041:2004 with the declaration of performance under regulation (EU) 305/2011, the Bfl-s1 fire classification test report (EN 13501-1:2018) and a formal quotation with references and lead times.
