Pickleball PVC court roll, 2 mm: compact 7.2 x 15 m court, EN 14904 compliant, indoor use
The compact format of the range: 7.2 x 15 m, i.e. 108 sq m, against 162 sq m for the 9 x 18 m court. It covers the official IFP playing area of 6.10 x 13.41 m with reduced run-off, on a footprint brought down to 15 m long, the most common constraint in municipal sports halls, community halls and existing multi-sport spaces.
The court is delivered as four 1.80 m wide strips, joined on site by hot welding (permanent installation) or with single-sided tape (demountable installation). Once joined, it forms a single continuous surface: no open seam, no change of level.
The surface is a multilayer build: protective anti-stain and anti-scratch layer, quartz sand layer for grip, transparent wear layer, HD-printed colours and lines, fibreglass reinforcement, high-density foam and anti-slip diamond backing. Performance is compliant with the intended use defined by EN 14904:2006 + A1:2008 (indoor sports surfaces). Fire classification Bfl-s1 (EN 13501-1:2018), SGS-CSTC test report no. 7.2 x 15 m or 9 x 18 m format: which one for your space?
The two courts are identical in every respect: same 2 mm PVC flooring, same multilayer build, same performance, same installation method. Only the dimensions change, and with them the size of the run-off around the playing area.

A simple rule: if your hall is less than 18 m long or less than 9 m wide, the 7.2 x 15 m format is the one that fits. If the footprint allows it, the 9 x 18 m format gives much more comfortable run-off around the playing area.
Court markings
The printed lines reproduce the official layout: a 13.41 x 6.10 m playing area (singles and doubles on the same court), service line, baseline, sidelines and the 2.13 m non-volley zone on each side of the net, all in 5 cm wide white. The net sits at the centre of the court, 91.4 cm high at the posts and 86.4 cm at the centre according to the rules of the game; the net on wheels offered with the court is positioned and removed without tools.
The technical data sheet describes the surface as designed for three requirements: performance (grip, footing and pace of play at world championship, international competition and official qualifying level), safety (lower risk of slipping and injury) and durability (intensive use by local authorities and clubs). Ball bounce measured at 97 % and controlled slip resistance give consistent play from one end of the court to the other; 26 % shock absorption is kind to the joints during long sessions.
Subfloor: the condition to check before ordering
The court must be installed on a clean, flat, hard and homogeneous surface. The subfloor must meet the flatness tolerances defined by French standard NF P90-110; as a guide, flatness defects must not exceed 6 mm under a 3 m straightedge. Any irregularity likely to affect the stability of the flooring or the quality of play must be corrected before installation.
Compatible subfloors: concrete slab, asphalt concrete, porous concrete (the one used on tennis courts is ideal), parquet, PVC floor, acrylic resin court.
Not recommended without a suitable structure first: soil, grass, artificial turf, unstabilised gravel, sand.

Installation, assembly and dismantling
Permanent installation: hot welding
The strips are hot-welded together and the court becomes a single piece. This is the solution for a permanent installation, but it also works for events, since the complete roll can be rolled up again in a few minutes. Allow 2 people and 4 courts per half day for the first welded installation, then about 10 minutes to roll or unroll each court for a 7.2 m wide roll. A dedicated handling trolley moves the complete roll without lifting its weight.
Demountable installation: single-sided tape
If the court is regularly installed and removed, single-sided tape is preferable: it holds the strips together while allowing them to be separated again for easy removal. In practice, cut about 1 m of single-sided tape and apply it underneath, between each strip. For an event set-up, allow 2 to 3 people, 1 hour to install and 45 minutes to dismantle.
Before first use
We recommend unrolling and laying out the rolls 24 hours before use: the flooring relaxes and recovers its flatness after transport.
Delivery and storage
The rolls are wrapped in recycled paper and delivered in a wooden transport crate. For off-season storage, keep them flat, in their crate: never stack rolls on top of each other and never store them upright; the resulting deformation is permanent.
Maintenance
- Clean regularly to remove dust, marks and other residues with a mop or a fringe broom.
- Use only soap and pH-neutral cleaning products in a weak solution.
- Play in clean indoor sports shoes.
Do not: use unsuitable or dirty shoes with black soles, which mark the floor; use acids (bleach, vinegar, toilet cleaners), alkalis (butyl cleaners, high-pH strippers) or petrochemical products (cleaners containing oil, grease, solvents or abrasives); place furniture on the playing surface; leave dirt or liquids on the surface.
Which installation context?
Municipal sports hall or community hall with size constraints. Most school and municipal halls built before 2000 measure 20 to 28 m long by 12 to 14 m wide: they host two badminton courts or one handball court, and 18 m of length for a single pickleball court then encroaches on the other uses. The 7.2 x 15 m format fits these constraints without sacrificing the other activities. EN 14904 compliance, CE marking and the declaration of performance support grant applications and user agreements.
Multi-purpose sports space: pickleball, badminton and mini-tennis on the same floor. Ball bounce measured at 97 % (EN 12235) and controlled slip resistance (EN 13036-4, 80 to 110) suit several racket sports. The same court, with lines of different colours printed during manufacture, can mark out a pickleball court and a badminton court at the same time: the 7.2 m width covers the 6.10 m of a badminton court. For an association that wants to spread the investment over several activities, this format is the most efficient on an already constrained surface.
Hotel, campsite, senior residence, leisure centre: seasonal installation. Installed in 1 hour, dismantled in 45 minutes, the complete court rolled up in a few minutes: the compact format is also the easiest to store off season (108 sq m of flooring instead of 162) and to handle when laid again. Customisation, such as the venue’s colours or logo, is printed during manufacture: it does not wear off with repeated cleaning.
What to know before buying
1. The run-off is reduced: check that it suits your use. The official playing area is 13.41 x 6.10 m. This format leaves about 0.79 m behind each baseline and 0.55 m at the sides, where the recommended safety zone around a court is 2.44 m on each side. For training, group classes and recreational use, these margins are commonly accepted. For a club aiming at refereed competition, the 9 x 18 m format is preferable.
2. The flooring does not correct subfloor defects. Cracked concrete, raised tile joints, oil or resin marks: these defects show through the flooring and create lifting points in use. The reference is NF P90-110 flatness, with defects not exceeding 6 mm under a 3 m straightedge; levelling may be required before installation.
3. It is an indoor sports surface. The product is designed and tested for indoor use within the meaning of EN 14904. Outdoors, we recommend a temporary installation, for a tournament, an activity or an event, rolled up after use. For a permanent outdoor court, tell us about the project beforehand.
4. EN 14904 compliance is not a competition approval. IFP or USAPA rules have their own surface specifications. For official competitions under federation rules, have the surface confirmed by your federation before ordering.

Our hall is 14 m long: can we still install this court?
The strips can be cut to fit a shorter length, but the cut is irreversible and reduces the run-off even further. Below 13.41 m in length, the official playing area no longer fits and the court can no longer be regulation size. Give us your exact dimensions: we also produce custom sizes.
Is the court delivered in one piece?
No: four strips, 1.80 m wide and 15 m long, joined on site. Hot-welded, they become a single piece; taped underneath with single-sided tape, they remain separable for removal. In both cases there is no open seam that could alter the bounce or catch a shoe.
Can this floor take a badminton or volleyball net in addition to the pickleball lines?
The 7.2 m width is compatible with a badminton court (6.10 m wide), and the lines of both sports can be printed in different colours during manufacture. For weighted mobile net posts, check the footprint: the indentation resistance of the flooring is measured at 0.2 mm maximum (EN 1516), but a very concentrated point load should still be avoided. How does an order for a multi-court complex work?
We issue a global quotation with volume pricing and supply the full technical documentation: data sheet with test results, CE marking under EN 14041:2004 and declaration of performance under Regulation (EU) No 305/2011, Bfl-s1 reaction-to-fire test report (EN 13501-1:2018). For public procurement, the quotation is formalised with references and lead times. Where is the non-volley zone and how high should the net be set?
The non-volley zone, or kitchen, extends 2.13 m on each side of the net; it is printed on the flooring with the other official lines, in 5 cm white. The net is set at 91.4 cm at the posts and 86.4 cm at the centre, in accordance with the rules of the game. The court hosts singles and doubles on the same layout.
