Description
Phoenix spreads nine suspended net modules between twelve steel posts across a 21.5 x 13.0 m plan, but tops out at just 3.8 m. It is the lowest of the large multi-post structures, which makes it the one to specify where planning constraints, sightlines or a conservation setting rule out a tall silhouette.
A low, wide net landscape
- Twelve steel bearing posts carrying the net field
- Nine play net modules suspended between the posts
- A straight slide and a triple slide, both faced with animal-themed HPL panels
- Overall height limited to 3.8 m
Suspending the nets between posts rather than hanging them from a single mast produces a horizontal play field. Children travel across it, choosing their own line, instead of queueing to climb and descend. On a busy site that changes the character of the play area entirely.
Materials
Hot-dip galvanised steel structure. Nets in braided polyamide rope reinforced with a zinc-plated steel core. Animal-themed HPL decorative panels on the slides. Foundations at 1.0 m depth.

How suspended nets behave
A net hung between two posts moves under load, and that is the point. Children have to read the movement and adjust to it, which trains balance and core stability in a way a rigid frame cannot. The same yielding behaviour spreads impact rather than concentrating it, which is part of why a large net field carries so many users comfortably.
Frequently asked questions
Does a low structure mean a low fall height?
Not here. The free height of fall is 2.85 m because the net modules are suspended at height between the posts. Specify the surfacing from 2.85 m, not from the 3.8 m overall dimension.
Why choose Phoenix over a tall pyramid?
Sightlines and planning. A 3.8 m profile sits below most tree canopies and boundary treatments, which helps in sensitive settings, while the 21.5 x 13.0 m net field gives more simultaneous play than a pyramid of equivalent cost.
Are the slides part of the same certification?
Yes. The complete assembly, nets and slides together, is certified to PN EN 1176-1:2017 by an independent body, and the certificate is supplied with the technical file.
