For any publicly accessible installation, the product version, anchoring, clearance area and surfacing must be defined from the manufacturer’s instructions and the site assessment. EN 1177 applies only to any impact-attenuating surfacing; whether it is required and how it is specified depend on the applicable free height of fall.
Choosing between the two versions is a compliance decision rather than a technical one. Home and City share the same technical base. City carries yellow markings on the six fixed rollers, the labelling required for public spaces and a full commercial warranty, while Home has a plain design with residential labelling and a residential warranty. Specifying Home for a publicly accessible site is the mistake to avoid.
