Description
The iGreen is a motorless outdoor treadmill built entirely in stainless steel, and the first curved outdoor treadmill of its kind. Because it is driven by the runner rather than by a motor, there is no speed setting and no programme to select: the pace goes from a slow walk to a full sprint according to what the user does, which suits an installation where fitness levels vary widely and no supervision is available. Its roller system was designed for use by everyone from children to older adults. The unit measures 1840 x 928 x 1600 mm, weighs 170 kg and is priced at 5 999 EUR excluding VAT.

Free access installation, compliance and anchoring
In free access, meaning a municipal fitness area, a park or an institutional courtyard, this equipment falls under EN 16630 for outdoor fitness modules. Installation requires a safety zone of at least 1.50 m and impact absorbing surfacing compliant with EN 1177, sized according to the free height of fall. On a private enclosed site, such as a military base, a company or a training box, those requirements are relaxed, but the anchoring itself is not optional: the feet are pre drilled so the unit can be fixed directly to the ground, and a 170 kg machine used at sprint pace must be secured.
Choosing between the two versions is a compliance decision rather than a technical one. Home and City share the same technical base. City carries yellow markings on the six fixed rollers, the labelling required for public spaces and a full commercial warranty, while Home has a plain design with residential labelling and a residential warranty. Specifying Home for a publicly accessible site is the mistake to avoid.
Operationally the appeal is the absence of infrastructure. There is no electrical supply to bring to the site, no console to vandalise or replace, and no maintenance schedule, which is what makes an outdoor treadmill viable in a location a technician visits rarely. Stainless steel construction handles rain, frost and UV, and the design is intended to sit in a garden, terrace or public space without looking like gym equipment. Allow 40 days from order for shipping, or 20 days with the express option.
Frequently asked questions
How does a motorless curved treadmill work?
The runner drives the belt directly, so speed follows the user rather than a console setting. There is no restriction on speed or parameters, which lets each person set their own pace from walking to sprinting.
Which surfacing is required?
In free access, impact absorbing surfacing compliant with EN 1177 sized to the free height of fall, with a safety zone of at least 1.50 m around the machine. We can quote the surfacing with the equipment.
Home or City version?
City for any publicly accessible installation, since it carries the public space labelling, the roller markings and a full commercial warranty. Home is for private residential settings.
