Description
The Fitness Tech F18 is a free standing cable crossover with two 90 kg weight stacks and 120 mm sheaves. It ships with a full accessory set and an integrated pull up bar. Price: 1,504.42 EUR excluding VAT.
Free standing, so the layout stays open
A crossover fixed to a wall dictates where the rest of the room goes. The F18 is self supporting, which means it can be placed in the middle of a floor, used from both sides and moved if the layout changes. For a studio that rents its premises, that alone is often the deciding factor.
The two columns are independent, so the station covers bilateral work such as flyes and cable presses, and unilateral work such as single arm rows, wood chops and anti rotation core exercises, without changing anything but the handle.
Cable quality and load
The sheaves are 120 mm in diameter. A large sheave keeps the cable running smoothly under load and reduces the wear that a tight bend radius causes over thousands of repetitions, which is what separates a machine that still feels good after three years from one that does not.
Two stacks of 90 kg cover beginners through to advanced users. Because the pulley ratio softens the perceived load, the effective resistance range starts very low, which also makes the station usable for rehabilitation and functional work.

Nothing else needs to be ordered before the station goes into service, which is worth checking against competing quotations where the accessory set is a separate line.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference with the F24?
The F24 offers 120 kg per column, 26 height positions and a Q325 steel construction for heavily used strength areas. The F18 offers 90 kg per column with the accessory set included, a format suited to studios and mid sized clubs.
Is 2 x 90 kg enough for a commercial gym?
For a crossover, yes in most cases. Cable work is rarely about maximum load: the movements are single joint or rotational, and the pulley ratio means the 90 kg stack covers beginners through to experienced members. A club whose strength area sees very heavy cable work should look at the F24 instead.
How much clearance is needed around it?
Allow the full arm span of a user on each side plus a walkway, because a crossover is used at the ends of the cables rather than at the frame. Send us your floor plan and we will position it with the correct clearances.
Tell us the surface you have and the movements you want the station to cover and we will return a written quotation with delivery in France, installation and after sales support. See the full strength training machines catalogue.
