Description
The Etenon R8202 is an iso-lateral lat pulldown with two independent arms, 100 kg of selectorised load per side and three interchangeable grips supplied as standard. Independent arms allow each side of the back to be loaded separately, which is the reason the machine is chosen for correcting left to right imbalances and for shoulder rehabilitation programmes where one side is recovering. A conventional pulldown with a rigid bar cannot separate the two.
The three grips change the exercise rather than decorate it. The long bar gives a wide pronated pull that emphasises the outer latissimus dorsi and the V taper. The V bar gives a close neutral pull that shifts work towards the mid back and the teres major. The rotating handles allow a supinated pull that brings the biceps and the lower latissimus into the movement. Between them they cover the full range of pulling angles a member will ever need on one station.
The thigh pad adjusts through four positions so that users of different heights are held down properly, which is what determines whether the pull actually loads the back. Construction is commercial grade: welded steel frame with a powder coated finish, high density nylon pulleys and PVC sheathed aviation cable, dimensioned for 10 to 14 hours of daily use in a busy club. The machine weighs around 200 kg and is declared compliant with EN ISO 20957.

Professional use and placement
The pulldown is the anchor of the back zone and should be positioned so that the user faces into the room rather than into a wall, with clear headroom above the pulley. Allow space beside the seat for a coach to stand and for grips to be swapped without obstructing circulation. Corporate wellness centres specify the machine for postural back strengthening in desk based populations, where upper back weakness is the most common complaint. CrossFit boxes use it as the guided progression towards a strict pull-up, loading the movement pattern before bodyweight is attempted. Physiotherapists rely on the independent arms. Send us your floor plan and we will position the back zone and confirm clearances in a free layout study before quoting.
Frequently asked questions
What does iso-lateral change compared with a standard pulldown?
Each arm carries its own load and moves independently, so the stronger side cannot compensate for the weaker one. This makes the machine markedly better for correcting asymmetry and for rehabilitation work.
Are the three grips included in the price?
Yes. The long bar, the V bar and the rotating handles are supplied with the machine.
How much load does each side offer?
The column provides 100 kg of selectorised load per arm, adjusted by pin without tools, which keeps transitions between members short during peak hours.
