Description
TRITON adds something the other pyramids do not have: a central rope well, 2.4 m in diameter, formed by sixteen vertical cables and five reinforcing rings running up the inside of the structure. Children can climb the outer net, cross a platform and continue up the well, or drop back into it from above. Five platform levels at 2.0, 2.8, 3.6, 4.4 and 6.0 m give the routes somewhere to start and finish.
Route variety on one structure
- Central hot-dip galvanised steel mast, 219.1 mm diameter, 8 m high
- Eight main bearing cables anchored into reinforced concrete foundations
- Eight net walls between the bearing cables
- Horizontal rope platforms at 2.0, 2.8, 3.6, 4.4 and 6.0 m
- A central rope well 2.4 m in diameter with sixteen vertical cables and five reinforcing rings
Route variety is what keeps older children returning. A pyramid with a single ascent pattern is solved in one visit; a structure with an interior route and five levels takes considerably longer to exhaust.

Frequently asked questions
What does the central well add for older children?
A second, more technical route. Climbing inside a 2.4 m diameter cage of vertical cables demands different body positioning from the outer net faces, which extends the useful age range at the top end.
Is the top platform at 6.0 m accessible to all users?
It is reachable by children who have worked up through the lower levels, which is the intended progression. The free height of fall remains 2.0 m throughout, so the surfacing specification does not change with the upper platform.
What surfacing standard applies?
The equipment is certified to EN 1176-1. The impact-attenuating surface beneath it is a separate specification, tested to EN 1177 for the stated free height of fall, and must cover the full 14.5 m circle.
