Description
The TRAINER Steel4Fit pec deck is an outdoor fitness station for standing and wheelchair users, with a folding seat that opens the machine to a wheelchair without any tool or assistance. The exercise develops the upper muscle groups, strengthening the scapular girdle and the shoulders and stimulating the muscles of the posterior thorax and the back. It is a mixed ability station in the true sense: the same unit, the same handles and the same movement for everyone using the area.
Steel4Fit is the construction specification that sets this version apart. The structure is welded S355 and S235 steel, hot dip galvanised and then oven baked with a double coat of powder paint, in red and graphite (RAL 3000 and RAL 7016). The seat is high density polyethylene, resistant to weather and to ultraviolet. Certification is to EN 16630:2015, tested and approved by TUV Rheinland for safe use in urban parks, schools, residential developments and municipal schemes.

Why the steel specification matters outdoors
S355 and S235 are structural steel grades, and specifying them explicitly tells a buyer that the tube has a declared yield strength rather than being an unspecified commodity section. Hot dip galvanising protects the whole assembly including the welds and the cut edges, which is where corrosion normally starts, and the two powder coats applied over it provide the colour and the ultraviolet resistance. That order of operations is what distinguishes a structure designed for twenty years outdoors from one that is simply painted.
The declared safety zone of 373 x 405 cm must remain clear of paths, seating, planting and other apparatus. For an inclusive installation the approach to the station has to be firm, level and continuous so a wheelchair can reach and align with the handles, and there must be room to turn once alongside. Impact attenuating surfacing under and around the station is dimensioned to the free fall height under EN 1177. The pylon is anchored into a concrete foundation sized to the ground conditions.
Frequently asked questions
Can standing users use it too?
Yes. The seat folds down for a standing user and folds away for a wheelchair user, so the station serves the whole population of a park or a school without a separate accessible unit.
What colours are available?
The Steel4Fit version is supplied in red and graphite, RAL 3000 and RAL 7016, applied as two oven baked powder coats over the galvanising.
What maintenance is required?
Annual inspection of anchors, fixings, the seat panels and the paint film maintains EN 16630 compliance. Steel structures carry a 20 year warranty and wear parts remain available after the sale.
