TRAINER D25 Outdoor Exercise Bike - Pylon Mounted

The TRAINER D25 is the pylon-mounted version of the outdoor exercise bike, measuring 110 x 55 x 110 cm for 35 kg and requiring a safety zone of 377.7 x 365 cm. It belongs to the OutdoorFit range and fixes to a pylon or load-bearing wall, with the fixing accessory sold separately. Certified to EN 16630:2015-06 and tested by TUV Rheinland, it is supplied by Light In Fitness at 1,116 EUR excluding VAT.

Same apparatus, different structural principle

The D25 and the freestanding R25 offer identical training: seated pedalling for the quadriceps, hamstrings and calves, knee reinforcement and cardiorespiratory work at an easy difficulty rating. What separates them is how the load reaches the ground. The R25 has its own foundation and can be placed anywhere on a plan. The D25 transfers into a shared pylon, which means a lower unit cost, a single foundation serving two apparatus, and a visually tighter installation. It also means the post must be on the order.

When to choose the pylon version

Pylon mounting pays off wherever the plan is dense rather than linear. A compact municipal area of thirty to sixty square metres, an inner courtyard, a campsite corner or a residence garden reaches six to eight training positions on three or four posts, at a lower total cost than the same station count in freestanding form and with far fewer foundations to excavate. Conversely, a fitness trail that spreads apparatus over several hundred metres of path gains nothing from shared posts, and the freestanding references are the correct specification there.

Ordering and installation

This listing covers the apparatus. A TRAINER pylon or a suitable load-bearing wall is required and is quoted separately, and every schedule of OutdoorFit references should be checked against a matching schedule of posts before tender. Safety zones must be verified for overlap where two apparatus share a post. Standard colours are yellow (RAL 1018/7004), graphite (RAL 7016/9006), orange (RAL 2000/9006) and lime (RAL 6018/9006), with other RAL references on request.

How does the total cost compare with the freestanding bike?

The apparatus itself is slightly cheaper, but the meaningful saving appears from the second station onwards, when one pylon and one foundation carry two apparatus. For a single isolated bike the freestanding reference is usually the better value once groundworks are counted.

Can it be fixed to an existing wall?

Yes, where the wall is genuinely load-bearing and its condition has been verified. This is common in courtyards and under canopies. The fixing accessory differs from the pylon bracket, so the mounting method must be confirmed before the order is placed.

Is there anything to service?

The pedal assembly runs on sealed bearings with no lubrication schedule. Annual inspection covers the wall or pylon fixings, play in the crank, the HDPE seat and the paint film, in line with the operator’s duty of care for open-access equipment.
