Description
The OutdoorFit twister is a compact rotational trainer that bolts onto a support post or a load-bearing wall rather than onto its own free-standing frame. The unit measures 78.5 x 74 x 140 cm, weighs 45 kg and works within a recommended safety zone of 379 x 374 cm. It is rated for users up to 150 kg from a minimum height of 140 cm and is certified to EN 16630:2015.
What the twister trains
The user stands on the footplate, holds the fixed grips and rotates the hips and lower spine from side to side while the upper body stays square. It is the classic warm-up and mobility station of a municipal fitness area, and one of the few that older users approach without hesitation.
- Mobilises the hip joints and the lumbar spine through a controlled rotation arc
- Engages the abdominal wall and the obliques as rotation stabilisers
- Opens the pectorals and the anterior shoulder at the end of range
- Difficulty rating: easy, suitable for a first session and for warm-up circuits
- Single user station, no adjustment or settings to explain

Why the post-mounted format changes the project cost
Because the twister carries no frame of its own, a single support post can serve two or three OutdoorFit units mounted at different heights and orientations. On a park circuit that means fewer concrete foundations, fewer posts to galvanise and a denser exercise offer for the same trench work. The trade-off is that the post has to be specified and ordered with the station: the 708 EUR excluding VAT price above covers the twister module only.
The 379 x 374 cm safety zone is measured around the moving footplate. Where two modules share one post, the zones overlap and the combined surfacing area is calculated on the envelope rather than by adding both figures, which is a further saving on rubber or bonded gravel surfacing. Our team draws the shared-post layout at quotation stage.

Frequently asked questions
Is the support post included in the price?
No. The 708 EUR excluding VAT covers the twister module only. The post or the wall fixing set is a separate line on the quotation, which is what allows several modules to share one post on a compact site.
Can it be fitted to an existing wall?
Yes, provided the wall is load-bearing and the fixing substrate can be verified. Send a photograph and the wall construction with your enquiry and we will confirm before quoting; masonry of unknown build is normally installed on a post instead.
How much maintenance does the rotating footplate need?
The bearing is sealed and the steel is galvanised before painting, so scheduled work is limited to an annual inspection of the fixings, the grips and the footplate surface. Repainting is not part of the normal life cycle of a double polyester coating.
Send us the number of stations, the post configuration and the surfacing you intend to use, and we will return a scaled layout with the safety zones and a full project price. Quotations for municipal outdoor fitness areas are issued within 24 to 72 hours.
