Description
The TRAINER D10+SLN1 is an outdoor abdominal training bench supplied complete with its own pylon, measuring 76 x 115 x 202 cm with a bench weight of 35 kg plus 50 kg for the post. It requires a safety zone of 376 x 415 cm, is certified to EN 16630:2015-06 and tested by TUV Rheinland, and is supplied by Light In Fitness at 1,146 EUR excluding VAT.
Bench and pylon quoted as one reference
This listing is the complete assembly. The D10 bench is a pylon-mounted station, and the SLN1 suffix means the supporting post is included, so the reference can be installed as a standalone unit on a site where no OutdoorFit pylon already exists. The bench alone, for adding to a post that is already in the ground or shared with a second apparatus, is a separate and considerably cheaper reference. Getting this distinction right at tender stage is the single most common source of budget error on outdoor fitness projects: a schedule listing eight bench references and no posts will not install.
- Trains the rectus and oblique abdominals, the iliopsoas and the quadriceps depending on the exercise chosen
- Inclined bench with foot restraint for crunch, twist and leg raise variants
- Difficulty rated medium, minimum user height 140 cm, maximum user weight 150 kg
- HDPE seat panels, unaffected by rain, frost and UV
- Supplied with pylon: no existing structure required on site
Where an abdominal station earns its place
Core stations are the most used apparatus on any municipal fitness area after the cardio references, because the movement needs no instruction and no minimum strength level. What matters is the angle. A bench that is too steep excludes most of the public; the D10 sets a moderate incline so that a beginner can complete a set of crunches while an experienced user can raise difficulty by extending the legs or adding rotation. That range is what allows one station to serve a whole trail rather than only the fit end of it.
Groundworks and layout
The 376 x 415 cm safety zone must remain clear of paths, planting and neighbouring apparatus. The pylon is set in a concrete foundation sized at design stage against the ground conditions, and because the user is seated or lying throughout, the free height of fall is low and surfacing requirements are correspondingly light. Colours are yellow (RAL 1018/7004), graphite (RAL 7016/9006), orange (RAL 2000/9006) or lime (RAL 6018/9006), with other RAL references on request.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need the pylon version or the bench on its own?
If the bench is the first or only apparatus at that point on the plan, you need this reference. If an OutdoorFit pylon is already installed and has a free face, the bench-only reference mounts directly to it and costs substantially less. A single pylon can carry two apparatus, which is how a compact area reaches eight stations in a small footprint.
Can two benches share one post?
Yes, subject to the layout: the pylon is designed to accept apparatus on opposing faces, provided the two safety zones are checked for overlap. We resolve that on the site drawing before quoting, because an overlap that is missed on paper becomes a non-compliance at handover inspection.
What maintenance does it need?
Annual inspection under the operator’s duty of care, covering anchor bolts, the pylon connection, the HDPE panels and the paint film. There are no moving parts on this reference, which is why it is one of the lowest-maintenance items in the range.
