Description
The Steel4Fit pull-up station is the reinforced build of the TRAINER outdoor pull-up bar: seamless S355 carbon steel for the curved sections, S235 carbon steel for the straight members, hot-dip galvanised and powder coated twice. The module measures 94 x 83 x 226 cm, weighs 15 kg on its own and 65 kg with its support pylon, and works inside a safety zone of 494 x 483 cm. It is certified to EN 16630:2015 by TUV Rheinland.
Training use
Pull-ups and hangs are the highest-value exercise on any outdoor circuit because a single bar covers the entire pulling chain that push-up and dip stations leave untrained. The station is rated easy, which here means it needs no instruction rather than that it is undemanding: users self-regulate by choosing assisted, negative or full repetitions.
- Back: latissimus dorsi, rhomboids, mid and lower trapezius
- Arms: biceps, brachialis, forearm and grip endurance
- Shoulders: posterior deltoid and scapular control through the hang
- Also used for dead hangs, decompression work and warm-up mobility
- Users above 140 cm in height, up to 150 kg

What Steel4Fit changes
Steel4Fit is the heavy-duty construction of the TRAINER catalogue, and the specification is worth reading closely. The curved sections are seamless S355 tube: seamless because a weld seam on a bent section is the point where fatigue cracking starts, and S355 because the higher yield strength lets the bar take dynamic loading from kipping and swinging without permanent deformation. The straight members, which see mostly static load, are S235.
Corrosion protection is hot-dip galvanising, applied to the fabricated assembly so that the zinc coats the inside of the tube and the weld zones, followed by two powder coats. On an unsupervised urban site this matters more than the colour: a scratched paint film over bare steel bleeds rust within a season, while a scratch through paint into zinc does not.
The red and graphite finish is the visual signature of the Steel4Fit range and reads clearly against the greens and greys of a park. See the full outdoor gym equipment catalogue, or the indoor equivalents in our street workout rig range.
Frequently asked questions
Why does the weight say 15 kg plus 50 kg?
15 kg is the exercise module itself; 50 kg is the support pylon it mounts on, which is a separate item. Quote both together, and confirm at layout stage whether one pylon can carry more than one module.
Does S355 seamless steel justify the specification for a public site?
On a pull-up bar, yes. It is the station on any circuit that receives the most dynamic loading: swinging, kipping, several users at once on a wide bar. The curved sections take that load, and seamless S355 tube is specified so they take it without a fatigue-prone weld seam in the bend.
How large a surface does the station need?
The recommended safety zone is 494 x 483 cm, approximately 24 m2. Where several stations sit on one circuit the zones overlap and the surfacing is calculated on the combined envelope, not by adding the individual figures.
Send us the station list, the ground conditions and the colour scheme of the site, and we will return a scaled layout with safety zones drawn to scale and each module, pylon and foundation costed. Quotations are issued within 24 to 72 hours.
