Description
The cross competition half power rack is the open front format of the range, in 316L stainless steel and supplied as structure only for sites with a suitable surface already in place. An open front is what lets a coach stand beside the lifter rather than outside a cage.
The half rack keeps the essentials of barbell strength work on a reduced footprint: secure bar catches at the front, a high pull up bar and clear access on three sides. Squats, presses and pull ups are all trained from the same position, and the open geometry means a coach is in direct contact with the athlete throughout the lift rather than reaching through uprights.
316L marine grade stainless steel carries permanent open access exposure with no surface treatment to renew, so the structure needs no repainting cycle and no protective maintenance. Where the ground at the site is not suitable for free weight work, our tiles and platforms complete the installation.

Adding strength capacity at low installation cost
Boxes, fire and military stations and municipalities completing an existing strength area are the usual specifiers. Where the ground is already right, a structure only rack is the cheapest way to add a working barbell position, and because the format is open it multiplies outdoor stations without walling off the space.
In open access settings EN 16630 applies, with a safety zone of at least 1.50 m and an impact attenuating surface to EN 1177 sized by the free fall height. Barbell work adds a further requirement: the surface has to take dropped loads, not just foot traffic. Where it does not, we quote bonded rubber tiles of 40 to 65 mm or a version with an integrated platform. A siting study and an anchoring plan are prepared from your site drawing and issued with the quotation at no cost. We deliver to France, Belgium, Switzerland and Luxembourg, quote export per project, and dispatch within five to ten working days from stock.

Why choose a half rack over a full cage?
Access. The open front puts the coach beside the lifter and makes the station quicker to enter and leave, on a smaller footprint than a full cage would need.
Is a platform available?
Yes, a version with an integrated platform is offered for sites with no suitable surface, and rubber tiles can be quoted separately.
Is installation included?
Yes, installation by our teams is included; only delivery is quoted separately. Light In Fitness carries out the siting study, prepares the anchoring and installs throughout France. The terms are set out in the quotation, which is free and issued within 24 working hours.
