Description
This outdoor half power rack from the cross competition range combines an open structure to competition standards with an integrated weightlifting platform. It delivers complete strength training, squat, press, pull ups and deadlift, on a smaller footprint than a full cage.
The half rack secures bar racking at the front face and leaves circulation open around the post, which is a real advantage for direct coaching: the coach stands beside the athlete rather than outside a cage. The top bar takes pull ups, and the integrated platform receives deadlifts and Olympic movements.
Spacings and working heights follow the standards of the cross competition range, so training transfers directly to competition conditions. The stainless execution handles permanent exposure with no surface to renew, and maintenance is limited to cleaning and checking the fixings.

Half rack or full cage
The choice between the two is about supervision. A full cage encloses the lifter and is the safer option for heavy solo work; a half rack keeps the athlete accessible from three sides and suits coached sessions, group classes and sites where an instructor is present. Boxes and clubs wanting a compact competition standard post, barracks running coached sessions, municipalities creating a complete local strength zone and hotels adding a premium outdoor post are the typical buyers.
In open access the equipment falls under EN 16630, with a peripheral safety zone of at least 1.50 metres and an EN 1177 compliant impact attenuating surface dimensioned to the free fall height; on enclosed private sites those requirements remain best practice. Light In Fitness, manufacturer and distributor in Tours since 2013, supports more than 500 sites and includes a free layout study, delivery, installation by our own teams and a professional warranty.
Frequently asked questions
Is the platform included?
Yes. This reference is supplied with its integrated weightlifting platform, so deadlifts and floor work are possible without additional surfacing under the bar.
Can heavy solo work be done on a half rack?
The front face catches secure bar racking, but a half rack does not enclose the lifter. For unsupervised heavy squatting the full cage version is the more appropriate specification.
Are bars and plates supplied?
No. Bars, plates and accessories are quoted separately so the specification matches the discipline practised on site.
