Description
The Bodytone MT6 is a professional indoor cycling bike from the Leader range, braked by two neodymium magnets and driven by a 20 mm Poly-V belt. Neither system has a wearing part in contact with the flywheel, so the bike runs almost silently and needs no greasing, which is what makes it workable in a studio of fifteen to twenty bikes where the instructor has to be heard. A 213 mm Q factor, four axis adjustment and dual sided SPD pedals cover the fit requirements of a mixed class. The bike complies with EN ISO 20957-1 and is covered by a 3 year warranty. The list price is 1 425.40 EUR excluding VAT.

Studio use, acoustics and upkeep
Group cycling puts a specific set of constraints on a bike: dozens of sessions a week, riders of very different sizes on the same frame, and an acoustic environment where machine noise competes with the instructor and the music. Magnetic braking by induction addresses all three. There is no felt pad or brake shoe to replace, resistance stays consistent as the bike ages, and the noise floor stays low enough for a coach to give cues without raising their voice across a full room.
The 213 mm Q factor, meaning the lateral distance between the pedals, keeps the knees tracking naturally over 45 to 60 minute classes, which is the sort of detail that shows up as fewer complaints rather than as a headline figure. Four axis adjustment lets an instructor set a rider up in seconds between back to back classes, and the dual sided SPD pedals accept both cleated shoes and trainers, so drop in guests in a hotel or corporate site are not excluded.
Maintenance is limited to checking the adjustment collars, pedals and emergency brake, plus cleaning to remove sweat, which is the main corrosion risk in a cycling room. Nothing needs lubricating. Two documented differences separate the MT6 from higher models in the range: the aluminium flywheel rather than cast iron, and the M20X console supplied as an option rather than fitted as standard. For explosive interval and functional formats, an air bike is the more suitable machine.
Frequently asked questions
Is a console included?
No. The M20X connected console, which displays power in watts and heart rate and works with Zwift, Bkool and Kinomap, is offered as an option and should be added to the quotation request if required.
Aluminium or cast iron flywheel, does it matter?
A weighted aluminium flywheel gives a fluid, controlled pedal stroke. Riders looking for the heavier road bike feel of a cast iron flywheel should look at the higher models in the range.
What does EN ISO 20957-1 cover?
It is the general safety standard for stationary training equipment, covering construction, stability and testing requirements. Compliance is the baseline expected for equipment installed in premises open to the public.
