Description
Rising 9.4 m, the ALHENA is the tallest statement piece in our rope tower range. Six horizontal storeys, a central hourglass net and suspended hammocks lead climbers upwards to the crowning feature: a summit sphere with its own independent rope network and polycarbonate panels. For flagship parks, it is both a climbing challenge and a landmark visible across the site.
Six storeys and a glazed summit sphere
The ascent through the ALHENA is a layered journey: children aged 5 to 14 progress storey by storey through the hourglass-shaped central net, pausing on hammocks along the way. The final reward is the summit sphere – a distinct rope cell wrapped in polycarbonate panels where climbers can look out over the whole park from a fully enclosed vantage point. Massive 219.1 mm steel arches carry the entire structure on reinforced concrete footings.

Frequently asked questions
How can a 9.4 m tower have a 3.0 m free fall height?
The six storeys and central net divide the interior so no open fall exceeds 3.0 m; the summit sphere is additionally enclosed by its own rope network and polycarbonate panels.
What footprint does the ALHENA need?
Despite its height, the tower occupies only 9.3 x 9.3 m, with a circular safety area of 14.1 m diameter finished in impact-attenuating surfacing rated for 3.0 m.
Is the ALHENA suitable as a park landmark?
Absolutely – at 9.4 m it typically becomes the visual anchor of the whole playground, drawing visitors from across the site and extending dwell time.
