Coloured rubber tiles are a durable, safe and visually flexible covering for gyms, strength areas, CrossFit boxes, children’s play areas, schools, urban spaces and outdoor developments. They are manufactured from recycled rubber granulate bound with a high strength resin, which combines the technical performance of a standard tile with a colour finish that can be used to zone a space or to match a brand.

Using colour to organise a space
Colour is not only decorative in a sports facility: it is the cheapest way to mark out zones. A different colour under the free weight area, along circulation routes, or around a lifting platform tells users where each activity belongs without signage. In play areas and schools, colour also defines the impact absorbing zone visually, which supports supervision.

Specification, laying and maintenance
Thickness follows the impact to be absorbed, exactly as for a standard tile, and colour does not change that requirement. Laying is loose on a flat, stable sub floor for most indoor projects, bonded where rolling loads, slopes or large temperature variations apply. Outdoors, an outdoor rated formulation and a drained sub base are required. In declared play areas, impact attenuation is assessed under EN 1177 against the critical fall height. Frequently asked questions
Do coloured tiles fade outdoors?
Any pigment exposed to permanent sunlight changes over time, and outdoor rated formulations are specified to limit it. Where colour retention is a priority on a highly exposed site, discuss the shade at enquiry stage, because lighter and more saturated colours behave differently. Ask for the technical sheet before ordering.
Can several colours be combined in one area?
Yes, and that is a common use, since the tiles share the same format and thickness. Plan the layout on a drawing before ordering so quantities per colour are correct and cuts are minimised. We prepare that drawing with the quotation on complete projects.
