Description
The Shaula turns a simple steel frame into a full agility landscape. Around its spectacular central rope funnel, children find climbing ropes, a seven-line obstacle course and a suspended nest seat – a complete circuit that develops coordination, grip strength and confidence from early childhood through the teenage years.
One structure, many ways to play
Unlike single-activity climbing frames, the Shaula is organised as a continuous course. The funnel draws children into the centre of the structure, while the seven parallel obstacle lines with their platforms create route choices that keep the equipment interesting visit after visit. With a recommended age range of 3 to 14 years, it serves an unusually wide audience for a single module.
- Central rope funnel as the visual and play focal point
- 8 climbing ropes distributed around the frame
- Seven-line obstacle course with platforms
- Suspended nest-type seat
- 8 rubber mats protecting high-wear areas
- Free fall height: 3.0 m – minimum safety zone 26.9 x 21.2 m
Materials selected for public playgrounds
The frame is built from steel tube with a minimum diameter of 168.3 mm, hot-dip galvanised against corrosion. The nets use olive-coloured braided polyamide rope reinforced with galvanised steel strands, joined by black plastic and aluminium connectors; fastenings are in stainless steel and hot-dip galvanised steel. The structure is certified compliant with EN 1176-1:2017 by an independent certification body and is anchored on reinforced concrete footings set 1.0 m deep.

Frequently asked questions
What surfacing is required under the Shaula?
The structure must be installed over impact-attenuating surfacing compliant with the EN 1176 framework, sized for its 3.0 m free fall height. We can propose a suitable safety surface as part of your quotation.
Is it really suitable from age 3?
Yes – the recommended age range is 3 to 14 years. Lower rope sections and the obstacle lines offer accessible challenges for younger children, while the funnel and upper nets stretch older users.
What ground preparation is needed?
The Shaula is anchored on reinforced concrete footings at a depth of 1.0 m. Our team provides foundation drawings with every project quotation.
