Description
Where the tall rope pyramids reach for the sky, the Hermippe hugs the ground. Four steel hoops meet at a central node to form a compact dome just 1.6 m high and 2.2 m across – a friendly first climbing structure that fits into play areas where every square metre counts.
Two net levels for progressive climbing
The dome carries two superimposed rope planes, positioned at 0.6 m and 1.1 m. Young children start on the lower level, learn to trust their grip, then graduate to the upper net – a built-in progression that makes the Hermippe a natural fit for nursery schools, toddler zones and small neighbourhood playgrounds. With a free fall height of only 0.6 m, surfacing requirements stay minimal.

Hoops and upper node are S235 carbon steel, hot-dip galvanised. The 16 mm rope is polypropylene (PP split film) reinforced with galvanised steel strands; rope-to-rope connectors are plastic and aluminium, while rope-to-frame connectors are stainless steel. The structure is certified compliant with EN 1176-1 by an independent certification body for collective use on public playgrounds.

Frequently asked questions
Why a dome rather than a pyramid?
The dome form has no summit to race to – climbing happens over and across the shell, which suits younger children and keeps play calm in confined spaces such as school courtyards.
What makes the two-level net design safer for beginners?
The lower plane at 0.6 m acts as both a first challenge and a catch level beneath the upper net, so children always have mesh close below them as they progress.
How quickly can the Hermippe be installed?
With footings only 0.6 m deep and a compact frame, groundworks are light compared with our large structures; a precise installation schedule accompanies every quotation.
