Description
This green Crossfit turf track measures 10 x 2 m, with a 15 mm short pile and 63,000 tufts per square metre. Green is the reference colour for functional training lanes: it reads as a distinct zone against grey rubber flooring without darkening the room, which matters in gyms that rely on daylight or on a limited lighting budget.
Surface behaviour under load
The short curled fibre gives a controlled amount of slip. A sled glides rather than judders, so athletes can hold a steady cadence, while a training shoe still finds enough grip for lunges and sprint starts. Compared with a bare rubber floor, the pile takes the abrasion of sled runners and protects the substrate underneath.
- Sled and prowler lanes, harness sprints
- Crawling, carrying and dragging drills
- Bodyweight and mobility zones next to a rig
- Hyrox and circuit stations that need a marked-out corridor
Formats and customisation
Stock lengths are 10 m and 20 m in a 2 m width. Bespoke runs of 15 m, 25 m and 30 m are manufactured to order with a 90 to 120 day lead time, which is worth planning around if the lane is part of a wider fit-out. The same short-pile specification is offered in black, blue and red. Logo integration is possible and is priced on a project basis.

Maintenance in a commercial gym
Artificial turf removes the upkeep cycle of a natural surface entirely: no watering, cutting or feeding. In practice a weekly brush against the pile direction plus vacuuming is enough. The fibre is UV stabilised and unaffected by rain, so the same roll can be used on a covered terrace or an outdoor training area as well as indoors.
Frequently asked questions
How does green compare with black in daily use?
Performance is identical; the difference is visual. Green marks out the functional zone clearly and keeps the space feeling open, while black suits studios aiming for a darker, more concentrated atmosphere.
Can the lane be numbered for distance work?
Numbered and metre-marked tracks are produced on request. Confirm the marking interval when you ask for a quotation, since it is applied during manufacture rather than after delivery.
What subfloor is required?
A flat, dry screed or an existing rubber floor both work. On uneven concrete an underlay is recommended so that the sled does not catch on high points; send us photographs of the floor and we will advise.
Send through your lane dimensions, the colour you want and the intended layout, and we will return a quotation covering the cut plan, delivery to site and lead time.
