Description
Jump and Sway is a Work-fit trail station combining jumping and swinging movement, in laminated Scandinavian pine treated to class IV with a two coat Lasur finish. The largest component measures 1600 x 90 x 90 mm and the heaviest weighs 8 kg, so the station is handled and installed without lifting plant.
Metal parts are AISI 304 stainless steel and the fixings are electro galvanised quality stainless steel. That combination is what keeps a timber station serviceable outdoors: the class IV autoclave treatment protects the wood against fungal attack and ground moisture, while the stainless hardware prevents corrosion staining and loosening at the joints.
The impact area is provided in accordance with EN 1176-1:2017, and spare parts remain available for ten years, which allows a public operator to keep a trail in service well beyond the initial installation.

Choosing stations for a mixed public
Jumping stations bring intensity to a trail that walking alone does not provide, which is what makes them useful in school grounds, in municipal parks and on corporate campuses where the circuit doubles as a lunchtime facility. They are also the stations that need the most attention to the receiving surface, because the landing is the loaded moment.
The station is installed in sequence with balance, pulling and core stations. Spacing along the route, the surfacing and the impact areas are set out in the implantation study issued with the quotation.
Frequently asked questions
Can the station be installed without machinery?
The heaviest component is 8 kg and the largest is 1600 x 90 x 90 mm, so the parts are handled manually. Foundation work still follows the installation instructions supplied.
What surface should be provided under the station?
An impact area in accordance with EN 1176-1:2017, sized for the installed height. It is confirmed on the implantation drawing.
Does the timber require treatment on site?
No. The timber is treated in autoclave to class IV and finished with two coats of Lasur before delivery. Maintenance is periodic inspection and renewal of the finish over time.
