Description
The Strong Bike Gold is the entry price point of the Light In Fitness indoor cycling catalogue at 690 EUR excluding VAT, and it ships with its wireless LED console included rather than as an option. It is built around a 20 kg neoprene-coated flywheel, a bidirectional belt drive and stainless steel SPD pedals, on a reinforced oval steel tube frame. For an operator equipping a studio of fifteen to twenty bikes, that specification at that price is what makes a full class-size fleet fit inside a fixed opening budget.

Where the Strong Bike Gold fits
Three buying situations account for most of the fleets we deliver. The first is a new cycling studio with a fixed equipment envelope: because the console is included, the price per usable riding position does not move once the bikes are on the floor, and a larger grid means more paying places in each class from opening week.
The second is public procurement. Local authorities, sports associations and schools tend to run a tender in which the technical requirement is a belt drive, a flywheel of at least 20 kg, SPD pedals, a display and an emergency brake, with price as the deciding criterion. The Strong Bike Gold meets that requirement sheet at the lowest point in our range.
The third is a serious private installation where the buyer wants studio geometry, a weighted flywheel and a belt drive rather than a lightweight domestic bike, without moving into four-figure territory per unit.
Compare the rest of the range on the indoor cycling bikes page, and plan the floor at the same time: roughly 2 m2 per bike of rubber gym flooring handles vibration and protects the slab.
Frequently asked questions
Is friction resistance noisier than a magnetic system?
The audible difference in a class setting is smaller than the specification suggests. Drivetrain noise, not brake noise, is what riders hear, and the belt drive with reinforced low-friction shafts is quiet in both directions. The friction pad does contact the flywheel, so there is a light rubbing sound, but far less than a chain drive. Where absolute silence and a wear-free brake are the priority, a magnetic bike is the right specification.
What shoes do the SPD pedals accept?
The pedals are standard SPD, cleated on one face and flat with a toe cage on the other. Members with Shimano SPD compatible cycling shoes clip in; everyone else rides in ordinary trainers. No club-wide shoe purchase is required to run classes.
What is the consumable on this bike?
The friction pad. It is a wear part, replaced on a schedule that depends on class hours rather than on elapsed time, and it is inexpensive to stock. The belt, the shafts and the frame are not consumables. We hold spares and handle after-sales support from Tours.
Tell us the number of bikes, the room dimensions and whether the floor still has to be built, and we will return a single quotation covering bikes, flooring and delivery. Fleet enquiries are answered within 24 to 72 hours.
