Description
This outdoor three quarter power rack from the cross competition range is supplied as a cage alone, for installation on a sports floor already in place. It keeps the security a three quarter format gives to heavy lifting, without the integrated platform.
The structure secures squats and presses with bar catches at several heights, while remaining more open than a full cage. That openness is the reason a three quarter format exists: the lifter is protected at the front where the bar is racked, and accessible from the sides where a coach or a spotter needs to stand. The top bar takes pull ups and hanging work.
The stainless execution of the cross competition range withstands permanent exposure without any surface treatment to renew. Where the existing floor is not rated for free weights, the version with an integrated platform or our rubber tiles complete the installation, and that check should be made before ordering the cage alone.

Adding a strength post to an equipped floor
The buyers of a cage only reference already have a compliant sports slab. Boxes and clubs add a post to a floor in place. Barracks secure heavy lifting with open access for supervision. Municipalities complete a training area already surfaced. Indoor gyms extend their strength zone outdoors.
In open access the equipment falls under EN 16630, requiring a peripheral safety zone of at least 1.50 metres and an EN 1177 compliant impact attenuating surface dimensioned to the free fall height; on enclosed private sites those requirements remain the reference for good practice. Light In Fitness, manufacturer and distributor in Tours since 2013, supports more than 500 sites and includes a free layout study, delivery, installation by our own teams and a professional warranty with every project.
Frequently asked questions
How does a three quarter rack differ from a full cage?
A full cage encloses the lifter on all sides and is the safer option for unsupervised heavy work. A three quarter rack protects the front where the bar is racked while leaving the sides open, which suits coached training and group sessions.
How do we know if our floor is suitable?
It must accept dropped loads and provide the impact attenuation the fall heights require. Send the specification and photographs of the existing floor with the quotation request and we confirm it, or propose the platform version instead.
Are bars and plates included?
No. Bars, plates and accessories are quoted separately so the specification matches the discipline practised on site.
