Description
The TRAINER SW02A fixed single bar is the standard outdoor pull-up station of the street workout range, measuring 140 x 8 x 202 cm and weighing 50 kg, with a required safety zone of 410 x 540 cm. Difficulty is rated medium, for users from 140 cm and up to 150 kg. Certified to EN 16630:2015-06 and tested by TUV Rheinland, it is supplied by Light In Fitness at 990 EUR excluding VAT.
The first apparatus on any calisthenics plan
If a street workout area contains only one piece of equipment, it is a pull-up bar. Nothing else delivers as much training per euro: pull-ups and chin-ups for the back and arms, hanging leg raises for the abdominals, dead hangs for grip and shoulder decompression, and knee raises, rows and swings for everything in between. The muscle list runs from arms and back through chest, waist, abdominals and legs, and the apparatus itself is a bar and two posts with nothing to break, adjust or service. On a municipal site it is also the single most reliable indicator of whether an area will be used at all.
- Pull-ups, chin-ups, hangs and suspension exercises
- Works arms, back, chest, waist, abdominals and legs
- Improves limb mobility and cardiorespiratory condition
- Modular: combines with the rest of the TRAINER street workout system
- Difficulty rated medium, minimum user height 140 cm
Single bar or long span
The SW02A carries one working position on a 140 cm span. Its long-span counterpart at 216 cm takes two users side by side and suits schools, clubs and coached group sessions, but it needs a safety zone of 410 x 616 cm against 410 x 540 cm here. On constrained sites, courtyards, small squares, residential grounds, that 76 cm of extra width is frequently what decides whether a second apparatus fits into the layout at all. Specify the single bar where footprint is the binding constraint, and the long bar where throughput is.
Groundworks and inspection
The posts are set in concrete foundations sized against ground conditions at design stage. Because the exercise is performed hanging, the free height of fall is governed by the user’s grip height rather than the 202 cm bar height, and impact-attenuating surfacing across the whole zone should be assumed from the first cost estimate. Annual inspection covers the anchors, the bar-to-post connection, the paint film and the surfacing. Standard colours are yellow (RAL 1018/7004), graphite (RAL 7016/9006), orange (RAL 2000/9006) and lime (RAL 6018/9006).

Frequently asked questions
Is 202 cm high enough for tall users?
Yes. A bar much above two metres becomes unreachable for a large part of the public, and users over about 190 cm simply bend the knees, which is standard practice and does not affect the exercise. The height is set so that the widest possible range of adults can reach the bar unaided from the ground.
Can a beginner who cannot do a pull-up use it?
Yes, and most users start there. Dead hangs, negative pull-ups with the feet touching down, and inverted rows under the bar are all performed on the same apparatus and build the strength needed for a first repetition. An instruction panel showing those progressions materially increases how often a bar is used.
Does a single bar justify its own installation?
On a small site, yes: it is the highest-value apparatus per euro in the range and needs no companion equipment to be useful. Where the budget allows a second reference, parallel bars are the natural pair, giving the push and pull movements a bodyweight programme is built on.
