Description

The Bodytone ZROP is a non motorised inclined treadmill with magnetic braking, three incline settings and eight resistance levels, folding on a hydraulic system when not in use. Folding is unusual on a commercial slat treadmill and it is why this machine suits multi purpose rooms.

Without a motor the belt is driven entirely by the user, so the machine sets no upper or lower speed limit and consumes no electricity. Braking works by gravity and inertia against an internal magnetic flywheel of roughly 20 kg inertial mass, with eight resistance levels selected by a lever. Pulling on the handles while walking or running adds a traction component that a conventional treadmill cannot reproduce, which is why these machines have become standard in functional and conditioning areas.

Three incline positions change the working angle for the legs, and the console reports speed, time, distance, calories, pulse and recovery with average and maximum values. Bodytone builds the machine on the same design principles as its powered cardio range, and the folding action uses a hydraulic damper so the deck lands softly rather than dropping.

Where a folding manual treadmill fits

Rooms that switch between class formats are the clear case. A machine that folds and rolls away lets the same floor host a conditioning circuit in the morning and a group class in the evening, which a fixed treadmill row cannot do. Personal training studios and small clubs use the same argument in reverse: one machine that covers walking, running and sled style traction work replaces several.

No power supply is needed, so siting is governed by working space rather than sockets. Allow clearance behind and to the sides for a user stepping off, and confirm the storage position when folded. A siting plan is issued with the quotation once we have your room drawing. We deliver to France, Belgium, Switzerland and Luxembourg, quote export per project, and dispatch within five to ten working days from stock.

Frequently asked questions

What does pulling on the handles add?

A traction component. The user drives the belt with the legs while pulling against the frame, which loads the upper body and raises the metabolic cost well above a normal walk at the same speed.

Is a manual treadmill harder than a motorised one?

At the same speed, yes, because the user moves the belt as well as themselves. That is the training argument, and it is also why sessions on these machines are usually shorter.

Does it need servicing?

Less than a motorised machine. There is no motor, no drive belt and no electronics beyond the console, so the routine is limited to cleaning, checking the slats and inspecting the folding mechanism.
