Description
The Twist play tower gets its name honestly: five steel arcs spiral between two structural decagons, producing a twisted silhouette that catches the eye from across the park. Iridescent polycarbonate panels scatter coloured light through the structure, while a tube slide, irregular nets, a climbing rope and a linear ladder multiply the routes up and down.
Light, colour and climbing in one twisted form
The Twist is as much a piece of urban design as a climbing frame. Sunlight passing through the iridescent polycarbonate panels animates the interior with shifting colour – a sensory bonus that keeps younger children engaged at ground level. Above, climbers aged 5 to 14 tackle irregular linear nets and reinforced rubber mats before dropping into the polyethylene tube slide from 3.0 m. A stainless steel seat and visual panels complete the ground-floor experience.

Frequently asked questions
What creates the coloured light effects?
Iridescent polycarbonate panels mounted between the arcs refract sunlight into shifting colours inside the tower – no electronics, no maintenance, just optics.
Is the Twist suitable for compact urban sites?
Yes. The 9.3 x 5.0 m footprint and modest 1.8 m free fall height keep the safety area and surfacing requirements manageable for town-centre and courtyard schemes.
How many ways can children climb it?
Two access nets, a climbing rope, a linear ladder and the irregular internal nets give at least five distinct routes, with the tube slide as the shared reward.
