Description
The Triceratops dinosaur rope play structure reproduces the prehistoric herbivore in a black, green and yellow palette. The head is formed from shaped steel sheet and the legs from steel tubes clad in HPL panels, giving the animal a strikingly realistic outline. Supplied and installed throughout France by Light In Fitness.
Realism children can climb
Most animal structures suggest their subject; the Triceratops portrays it. The shaped steel-sheet head – frill, horns and beak – anchors the silhouette, while the HPL-clad legs carry the 9.6 m body. Between them, polyamide climbing nets turn the animal’s flanks and back into the actual play surface, so children scale the dinosaur itself rather than a frame beside it.

Frequently asked questions
How big is the Triceratops in practice?
The animal runs 9.6 m nose to tail and stands 3.2 m tall on a narrow 2.8 m body – an elongated footprint that fits along paths and edges. The EN 1176 safety zone extends the required clear ground to 12.6 x 7.7 m.
Is the steel head safe to play around?
The head is shaped steel sheet integrated into the certified structure: edges, openings and clearances all fall under the EN 1176-1 certification issued by an independent body.
Can it form part of a dinosaur trail?
Yes – it is designed as the companion piece to the compact Pterodactyl, and several sites deploy both along a walking route to create a prehistoric discovery trail.
