Description
This stainless steel outdoor lat pulldown has an open access layout, so a wheelchair user can position directly in front of the machine without a transfer. Load is applied with Olympic plates, which makes back training outdoors genuinely progressive rather than symbolic.
The pulldown works the latissimus dorsi through a guided path, from a beginner setting up to real overload, with the plate holders and the load selection within reach of a seated user. Removing the transfer step is what turns an accessible machine from a compliance item into equipment people actually use, and it is the reason public clients specify this layout for open access fitness areas.
The stainless execution is designed for permanent outdoor exposure with no surface to renew. Maintenance is limited to periodic cleaning and inspection of the joints, and 316L marine grade resists corrosion in coastal, chlorinated and salt laden air where painted steel fails within a few seasons.

Compliance and anchoring
In open access settings such as a municipal fitness area, a park or a school yard, this equipment falls under EN 16630 for outdoor fitness modules. Installation requires a peripheral safety zone of at least 1.50 metres and an impact attenuating surface compliant with EN 1177, dimensioned according to the free fall height. On enclosed private sites such as a military base, a company facility or a training box, those requirements remain the reference for good practice.
For the landing area Light In Fitness recommends its 40 to 65 mm impact attenuating tiles in bonded installation. Anchoring is on base plates set into a concrete foundation or fixed to an existing slab. Light In Fitness has manufactured and distributed from Tours since 2013, supports more than 500 sites, and includes a free layout study, delivery, installation by our own teams and a professional warranty with every project. Wear parts remain available after the sale.
