Description
The 20 ft freestanding stainless steel cross competition rig applies the long linear layout of the range on a format one module shorter than the 24 ft version. It keeps the same aligned workstation logic for outdoor group training, with identical grip standards and working heights, and remains independent of any building. It is the format for large cross training zones where the 24 ft run will not fit. The list price is 8,499 EUR excluding VAT.
The cross competition range reproduces the reference points of competition structures, upright spacing, grips and working heights, in a stainless build made for permanent weather exposure. Servicing is limited to cleaning and a periodic check of the fixings.

Sizing a large outdoor sports ground
Local authorities and campuses equipping a large sports ground rarely have a free rectangle waiting for the biggest rig in the catalogue. There are trees, paths, existing courts and a required safety zone all round. Dropping one module takes roughly a metre off the run, which is often exactly the margin needed to place the rig correctly rather than compromising its orientation.
The training logic is unchanged. Aligned stations let a coach launch a full wave of users simultaneously and time them together, which is why the format is chosen by military bases, municipalities and clubs building a high capacity outdoor zone. Freestanding construction means the rig sits where the training flow requires, not where a wall happens to be.
Where the installation is freely accessible, EN 16630 governs: a safety zone of at least 1.50 m and an impact absorbing surface to EN 1177 sized on the free fall height. Bonded rubber gym flooring tiles of 40 to 65 mm are the usual landing surface, and the sealing plan is issued with the study.
Frequently asked questions
How do I choose between the 20 ft and the 24 ft?
By the surface available and the simultaneous headcount targeted. The free layout study settles the choice from the actual survey dimensions of your ground rather than from an estimate.
Why stainless steel rather than a galvanised and painted rig?
Stainless resists corrosion with no paint or galvanising to make good, including in marine and chlorinated environments. Over a public installation life this removes the repainting cycle, which is what usually decides the specification on whole life cost.
Is installation included?
Light In Fitness carries out the layout study, the anchor preparation and the installation throughout France, Belgium, Switzerland and Luxembourg; export is costed per project. Terms are set out in the quotation, which is free and returned within 24 working hours.
