Description
The Bodytone PLIO/F is a foam plyometric box of 50 x 60 x 75 cm, designed to make box jumps safe in group classes. It offers the same three heights as the wooden box, 50, 60 or 75 cm depending on which face is placed downward, with a foam covering that forgives a missed jump. No more barked shins, and beginners keep the confidence they need to attempt the movement at all.
The choice between a wooden and a foam box is a decision about who is using it. Wood gives maximum stability and is the right answer for trained athletes working near their maximum height. Foam absorbs the impact of a failed attempt, which is the situation that produces almost every box jump injury, and it is therefore the correct specification for group classes, mixed ability circuits and any setting where the coach cannot watch every participant.
Three heights in one unit is what makes the box efficient in a functional circuit. Rotating the box changes the challenge without changing the equipment, so a single class can run box jumps and step ups at three levels with one item per station.

Specifying plyometric boxes for group classes
The count matters as much as the model. A circuit with a jumping station needs one box per participant working at that station, and clubs typically order in fleets rather than singly. We quote fleet quantities as a set, which usually improves both the unit price and the delivery arrangement.
For siting, place boxes with clear space in front and behind, because a failed jump sends the athlete backwards. A rubber gym flooring tile area underneath is recommended, and boxes should be stored stacked against a wall between sessions rather than left in the circulation route. Where a facility runs both competitive and beginner sessions, a mixed order of wooden and foam boxes is the usual approach.
Frequently asked questions

Both offer three heights by rotation. Wood gives maximum stability, foam forgives missed jumps and protects the shins.
Can it be ordered in quantity?
Yes. Boxes are sold individually and fleet quantities are quoted as a set.
Which heights are available on one box?
50, 60 and 75 cm, depending on which face is placed on the floor.
