Description
The BLCRP-4 abdominal module is the core training element of a modular outdoor street workout cage, in hot-dip galvanised steel with an oven-cured Super Durable powder coat. It is the station that gives a rig a floor-level exercise, which matters more than it sounds: without one, everything on the structure requires a user to hang from or press on a bar. Price 520 EUR excluding VAT, with a 20-year structural warranty on the steel.
The entry point of an outdoor rig
Pull-up bars, dip bars and parallel bars all demand that the user already supports their own body weight. An abdominal module does not, and that single fact decides whether a public rig is used by twenty people or by two hundred.
- Rectus abdominis and obliques through trunk flexion
- Hip flexors and deep core stabilisers under load
- Accessible to users with no upper body strength prerequisite
- Used as a warm-up, a finisher and a circuit station within the same rig
- Combines with every other module in the outdoor street workout range

Where to place it in the structure
Position matters for this module more than for any other. Put an abdominal station in the middle of a rig and the user lies on their back under the bars while other people swing above them, which nobody does twice. Put it at the end of a run, facing outwards, and it becomes the station that new users start on.
That placement decision is made on the configuration drawing, before anything is manufactured, which is the argument for a modular system over an off-the-shelf cage. The same set of modules produces a very different facility depending on how it is arranged.
Corrosion protection is identical across the range: hot-dip zinc, chromate conversion coating, wash and sanitise, then an oven-cured Super Durable powder coat with UV-stable pigments. On a module where the user is in direct body contact with the frame, the quality of that finish is a comfort issue as well as a durability one. See street workout and calisthenics cages and compact outdoor street workout cages for smaller sites.
Frequently asked questions
Does the module need a soft surface underneath?
Users are at or near ground level, so fall height is minimal. The surfacing decision is normally driven by the rest of the rig and by whether the area adjoins a play space; it is set out on the layout plan alongside the anchoring detail.
Can it be ordered on its own?
It is designed as part of a configured structure rather than as a standalone unit. If you already have a rig from this range, it can be added; if you are starting from nothing, we configure the full assembly and price the modules individually.
How does the finish stand up to graffiti removal?
The Super Durable powder coat is oven cured onto a chromate-treated, galvanised substrate, which gives a hard, non-porous surface that tolerates the solvents used in graffiti removal far better than a wet-painted frame. That is a practical consideration on any urban installation.
Send us the site dimensions, the movements you want the rig to cover and the expected user profile, and we will return a configuration drawing with every module costed and the foundations specified. Quotations are issued within 24 to 72 hours.
