Description

The Bodytone Solid Rock SR07/O is a plate loaded outdoor rowing station built entirely in stainless steel, taking up to 132 kg in standard olympic discs. Full stainless construction is specified for permanent open air installation where no technical room and no maintenance schedule exist.

The station is a seated horizontal row with a chest support, running on a guided path along stainless rails. It loads the latissimus dorsi, trapezius, rhomboids and biceps, and it uses standard olympic discs rather than a proprietary weight system, so plates can be sourced anywhere and replaced without going back to the manufacturer.

Plate loading with no pulleys and no exposed cables removes the components that fail first on outdoor equipment. Combined with a stainless structure, the result is a machine whose maintenance amounts to cleaning and periodic inspection, which is the point for a municipality or a landlord with no staff on site.

Free access strength equipment for public sites

Municipalities, social landlords and designers of open access fitness trails are the natural specifiers, along with campsites, holiday residences and outdoor sports complexes. What distinguishes this station from body weight outdoor equipment is that regular users continue to progress on it, because the load rises with the plates rather than stopping at body weight.

In open access settings the equipment falls under EN 16630, which sets a safety zone around the structure and, where the free fall height requires it, an impact attenuating surface to EN 1177. Plate storage needs planning at the same time as the machine: a secure store or a fixed disc post nearby keeps the discs on site. Anchoring is by base plates cast into concrete foundations or bolted to an existing slab, and a siting study with an anchoring plan is prepared from your site drawing and issued with the quotation. We deliver to France, Belgium, Switzerland and Luxembourg, and quote export per project.

Frequently asked questions

Why stainless steel rather than galvanised and coated steel?

Stainless resists corrosion without a coating that can be chipped or worn through, so it holds up in coastal, chlorinated and salt laden air with no surface maintenance. It is the longest lasting option for permanent exposure.

Are discs supplied?

No. The station takes standard olympic discs, which we can quote alongside it, and the operator decides how much load to leave available on an unsupervised site.

Does it need a technical room?

No. There is no electrical supply, no hydraulics and no enclosed mechanism, which is what allows the station to be installed anywhere the anchoring can be made.
